My secret beauty recipe and best makeup tips... I curl my eyelashes, even if I'm just going to the grocery store. It makes you look so much more awake, and in my case, makes me look way less homeless. When I apply self-tanner, I put big globs of regular moisturizing lotion on my elbows, knees and between my fingers. It's great at preventing the tanner from concentrating on the dry spots. Is that a secret? Probably not, but I thought I was super smart when I figured it out.How long does it really take me to get ready? What's my beauty routine? Workdays, about 45 minutes. Weekends, sometime me and the gals take so long we don't end up leaving!While Meg's mom used to give her at-home perms, my most mortifying makeup moment is... desertdoll says, Hey There, I wanted to tell you I bought Benefit Bad Gal Blue mascara too and I love it! It really does make your eyes like whiter, doesn't it? So I wouldn't laugh at you! I also recently bought the Bare Escentuals Gold mascara. Oh-I love it too! You can use it alone or put it on top of mascara (I usually do just the tips and my bottom lashes) and it's this super fine gold shimmer that catches in the light. Really pretty. artsyfartsy says, Hi! I've not received another kit yet. I need to call and change it quick cause I'm sure it's getting close to shipping out. I've tried the Present...it's really thick and it worked okay for my skin but I think it's better for my oily skin during the winter. I still have some but have been using the smashbox primer more (cause it's newer;). I really like the present without foundation(doesn't seem to go on easily over it) and just a dusting of powder...my pores are almost non existant. By the way, The Body Shop is having a buy one get one free on their Holiday sets. I need to post this onsite...sale ends Friday. Have a great Thanksgiving!
chiquita says, i read on a post youre considering trying the vinoperfect...as i am but of course the price comes in and i screech to a halt! ive heard its great from the ladies here but i did want to mention they sell capsules(6o ct.) that are supposed to do the same thing from the inside out and its $50 at sephora.. I havent tried it yet but im considering it more than getting the vinoperfect just because of my budget....I'm gonna ask around and see if anyones tried it yet so we can get some insider info from our girls..if i end up getting either ill let you know how it goes...to good skin and a beautiful you...salud!
kate2004rock says, I cheat on Sephora sometimes too. They have more haircare to choose from! I have even been "caught" a few times when Brand Reps for our Sephora Brands are working in Ulta and have seen me come in...but I just needed shampoo you know!...I might have to have you go get one of those UD pencil sets for me...there aren't any Ultas near me in Mississippi and I dont think there are any in Memphis either (closest city - 1hr away). What colors were in it?
artsyfartsy says, Hi there! Hope you had a great weekend. Mine is going okay. I'm off on Monday so I'm really glad to have the time. My last encounter with Philosophy girl was okay. They usually sent a 3-n-1 shower gels always with trial size packets of other 3-n-1s (Cinnamon Bun and Amazing Grace almost always). They were also having problems with distribution but I think they worked out the kinks on it or at least I hope. Products wouldn't be in the kit and/or I'd be missing the free gift. I did receive my kit...they sent it to the wrong address but all was quickly remedied. Their customer service is excellent (in my experience) so as long as that they correct the problem it's okay...mistakes happen. I customized with the retinol night time capsules that I add to Hope in a Jar. Gives me a rosy look. The interesting thing is that they didn't take away the microdelivery peel in exchange for the capsules. It was still in the kit. So, I got lucky because someone wasn't paying attention:) Let me know how the microdelivery wash works for you. I've never tried it. I think when I finish the Ojon hair treatment I'll ask for the hair marinade next. I've used it before and really liked it but just forgot about it. Ojon has a funny smell that I just don't really like. The marinade has that lemon custard smell. I wish they never quit making the Splendor conditioner. They have revised it and it's just not the same:( I've always wanted the scent to be in a shower wash form too. Oh well...Do you use any of their other products besides skin care? artsyfartsy says, A couple of weeks ago I posted to Tasha that philosophygirl was performing voodoo on me since they sent a 'please come back' card in the mail. I've been using philosophy on and off for the last four years always thinking there is something better. Kate may be right about Caudalie but my wallet can handle philosophy better and my skin loves it. So I'm back in the program again. Love that you can now customize it! I'm an oily girl too and your the one that turned me on to medi-matte which I'm so glad I tried. Thank you! I'm finished with the trial sized version and will purchase more soon. I'll be dragging them around the store..pointing out new things....lol. I just got the Guerlain kiss kiss gloss...I'm in love with it, it's so sparkly and moisturizing. My hubby says i have a problem and that I need to go to C.A. (cosmetics anonymous)....lol...If there is anything like that..I'll be as far away as possible from those meetings!!! Cosmetics and skincare products are pure love.

desertdoll says, Kitten is perfect. So is Holly GoLightly (a bronzish brown), Irma La Douce (deep emerald) and Diamond Lil (dark sterling grey). All have subtle shimmer. I use these more than any other e/s I own. I did buy that summer trio-love it! The green is really wearable and really pretty. I say go for it, especially since it's LE. Better to have and not want is my makeup motto!
desertdoll says, Have you tried Stila e/s? Way more economical than Nars and I think they wear really well. Plus I love their whole palette deal, it's great to just pop a new one in when your getting sick of another. That's my 2 cents!
