I can't live without this product...

This is the answer for my uneven skin tone and blemishes. I HATE wearing a heavy foundation. I live in Texas, so heat and humidity are a problem. What I love about this product is that it looks good on everybody! And it's lightweight and shear. I put it on, and then dust some loose powder (Bare Minerals) and viola, I have a flawless complexion. I've recommended this product to several friends, and they all rave about it.

I wouldn't die, but I would suffer greatly without this product...

The Miracle Face Brush - Clarisonic

When I heard there was a facial brush created by the same person that invented my beloved SonicCare toothbrush, I knew I had to have it. I was a little put-off my the price ($195) however I soon realized it was worth it. I suffer from unbelievably combination skin . . . my T-Zone is greasy and oily, and the rest of my face is flaky and dry. SO HARD to find a product that will do well with both. After a month of using this amazing tool, my combination skin is gone. It uses sonic waves to get deep into pores to loosen dirt and oil. And my dry patches? G-O-N-E. A miracle. It also helps the absorbtion of face products, so they work better. And it's water-resistent, so I can use it in the shower. Fabulous.

Without this product, I'd have to start drinking at noon ;-) ...

Benefit Lip-Plump (as a lip base)

As a rule, I generally think all of those lip-plumping products are bogus. I read on a website however, that this Benefit Lip Plump was AMAZING as a lip base. I had to see for myself. And I was NOT disappointed. It goes on sort of like a paste (but not in a thick-gross way) You let it dry for a minute or two, and then you can apply for liner/lipstick/gloss etc. It stays forever! One word of caution though . . . it completely cancels out ANY natural color you have on your lips, so if you're just going to wear a sheer gloss, keep that in mind. I REALLY appreciate this product when I'm wearing dark colors or reds, as we know how those tend to bleed. So, while I don't think it helps "plump" lips (as it's intended purpose) it's the best lip base I've ever used.

My secret beauty recipe and best makeup tips...

Water. We all know how good it is for our bodies. What most of us don't realize is how good it is for our skin. I was having lots of bad breakouts and I couldn't understand why. I went to the dermatologist, and he asked me what I drank throughout the day. Unfortunately, my beverages were limited to coffee and soft drinks. He said that was probably what was causing my breakouts and uneven skin tone. Instead of prescribing a miracle-cure face cream, he told me to drink 64 ounces of water a day. If my skin hadn't dramatically improved in a month, he would prescribe a cream. Well, what do you know? After a month my blemishes were gone. My skin appeared smoother and my hair was even looking better. Plus, I knew it was benefitting my entire body. So, I have a jug of water that holds exactly 64 ounces of water, and I drink it throughout the day. I didn't give up coffee, I just don't drink as much as I used to. I'm a huge make-up, skin-care junkie, and I'm always looking for the latest and greatest beauty product. But I found that the simplest thing has helped the most. And it's free!

How long does it really take me to get ready? What's my beauty routine?

From stepping into the shower, to walking out the door for a night out, I'm at 1 hour from start to finish (this is if I'm washing and drying my hair.) 20 minutes in the shower, 30 minutes for hair and makeup and 10 minutes to get dressed. This is of course assuming that I already have an outfit, shoes, bag, etc picked out. If I have to actually FIND something to wear, well that's another story!

While Meg's mom used to give her at-home perms, my most mortifying makeup moment is...

I went on a cruise the week before my sister's wedding. I was OBSESSED about making sure I had sunblock on my face, as I didn't want to be immortalized in her wedding pictures looking like a lobster. What I failed to do however, was put the sunblock all the way up to my hairline (I had no idea why!) So I had this not-so-fabulous bright red line on my forehead close to my hairline, where I hadn't put the sunblock on. It was horrible. I tried to cover it up with foundation, concealer, etc. Nothing worked. So in my sister's wedding pictures I have a red-stripe across my forehead. Just ravishing.
