I can't live without this product... | My favorite cream just got better.. this new and improved abyssine cream + helps minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles it defends skin from free radical damage like none other!
I honestly love this product. Sometimes I have very sensitive skin and find that as soon as I apply this cream my skin calms down and feels so soft. It contains no scent or perfumes to irritate your skin either. Let me tell you that this is very important when it comes to finding a really good facial cream! Yes, this is very important if you want to take care of your face! Here's what the label reads and it couldn't be better stated.
An Advanced, Restorative Formula With Survival Molecules and Soy Protein
Help diminish effects of aging
Skin reveals a radiant, youthful glow
Improves skin texture, resiliency and clarity
Minimizes appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Not tested on animals
This advanced preparation is made with naturally-derived ingredients which diminish the effects of aging and help skin protect itself from external damage. Abyssine (Alteromonas Ferment Extract), a survival molecule which thrives under the extreme conditions in hydrothermal ocean vents, helps soothe and protect skin. This formula, prepared with Aminokine (Soy) and Phytopeptides (Wheat), helps minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin firmness and elasticity. Apricot Kernel Oil helps condition and moisturize as powerful antioxidants Polytocopherols and Gingko Extract protect against free radical damage. The result: Skin reveals a radiant, youthful glow with an improvement in texture, resiliency and clarity. Dermatologist-tested for gentleness and suited for sensitive skin.

I wouldn't die, but I would suffer greatly without this product... Damage Remedy Restructuring Conditioner by Aveda | Since I color my gray hair.. I depend on a good daily conditioner. I have tried many conditioners but have been really happy with this product. It’s extremely effective in making my hair feel and look healthy.
This stuff smells good too! Very earthy!
This is a blurb from its label.
Daily conditioning formula with quinoa protein helps repair and re-moisturize damaged hair—infusing it anew with healthy movement, silkiness and shine.
• part of a three-step restructuring system
• helps hair weakened by chemical processes, heat styling and environmental exposure
• formula blends phellodendron, sandalwood and barley to smooth the hair cuticle
• with quinoa protein—to help strengthen and repair hair from the inside out

Without this product, I'd have to start drinking at noon ;-) ... Sugar Lip Treatment by Fresh! | Okay, this is an absolute must have lip treatment for your stash. I got it as a gift for Christmas and now don't know how i was surviving without it. Everyone needs to get their hands on this beauty! It has a charming look too with a screw on top so it won't fall off no matter what you do to it. This is also great for the guys. It lasts forever on your lips and they feel terrific. My secret beauty recipe and best makeup tips... Remember that your skin needs to be pampered always, and one way to easily care for it is to not use too hot of water. Using hot water will only dry out your skin and will strip away important oils your face needs to stay young and beautiful looking! This applies to your hair too. How long does it really take me to get ready? What's my beauty routine? I'd say to have a good make-up job that will actucually transform my outward appearence takes a good 15 minutes! Okay, i'd have to be drunk to think i looked good in only 15 minutes..Let's say 35 minutes. This doesn't include hairstlyling. That's another story! While Meg's mom used to give her at-home perms, my most mortifying makeup moment is... Many moons ago, my older brother, had a girlfriend whose Father owned a hair salon in N.J. One day they needed models to help as this man from "Jingles NY" was instructing the staff in the newest styles(bald looking).I had long beautiful hair and he pretty much scalped me.. It was so short that I only needed to use the trial size shampoo bottles and they would last for months! Horrible! My celebrity doppelganger (or so I'm told sometimes) is... I was told i looked like Joanne Woodward. I took that as a major complement!

sweetassgal says, Ashamed to admit this...but I'm up to about 200 shoes now. They're spreading to the guest room since I'm out of room in my walk in closet. It's a sickness...I know!!! I'd be in a shoe coma if I worked at your store. Lord help me!!!
honoluluhoney says, well thank you! i kinda like to think i'm a honolulu honey! *laughs* actually i was trying to be "cosmetically creative" with my name and i chose it from Nars Lipstick "honolulu Honey" :)
sweetassgal says, I wanted to take a minute to thank you for your beautifully eloquent post about the power of writing. I completely agree and adore the fact that other women like myself can see the effects that words (good and bad) can have on uplifting women. It's sites like this, and people like you, who encourage the inner and outer beauty of women around you. I truly believe that we will never fully grow into our potential as females until we stop judging and tearing each other down. Women are not our competition...they are our allies!!!! I love you all....GLAM ON!!!
honoluluhoney says, hello! nice to meet you!
champ3377 says, YEAH! Check your e-mail, please.
champ3377 says, Don't you see? Our connection via a makeup site is part of God's wonder. irony, and sense of humor! At first I had no idea what I was doing here, and when I received your messages I literally put my head down at the computer and said, "Thank you, Lord, for this amazing woman. She's part of Your plan for me and my life somehow." With you, I am completely open but the same doesn't go for everyone. I can trust you; you feel what I do, and it is most precious to be able to vent to you, realizing you understand! Thank you for your prayers, as I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring with Moosie. My poor mother is so upset. She lost my beyond-wonderful father to cancer when he was a baby (56) and, although we all live in homes right near her and spend time with her as often as possible, we obviously can't replace him. They had an extraordinary marriage and my sister and I are grateful for that. Give me your e-mail only if you feel comfortable. I've decided to celebrate by buying ONE product (money's tight here): The sugar lip treatment you recommend. My lips are often dry and I realized that, if you like it, is HAS to work.
champ3377 says, Dear Pamelairene, I hadn't heard from you and then my husband needed to use the computer. I'll confess that I was praying to hear from you--you simply "move" me and I knew that you'd have something to say to keep me going. And you outdid yourself (I should known!). My mom didn't make the call today--she couldn't--and so my heart is still in my mouth and my head is pounding (part of that also comes from the inability of my eyes to handle light after my recent surgeries). I thought of how our Gabriel passed this past February 2. He had congestive heart failure but was doing well on medications--vaso-dillators and diuretics to help fluid from collecting around his heart. My husband is a band director as well as a teacher, and he was gone and unreachable all day at an area honors band. I had pneumonia and woke up around 1:00 p.m. Gabe wasn't next to me in bed as usual, and I saw him oddly wrapped around the bedroom door, like a disjointed, broken doll. I said, "Hey, my little silly boy, what are you doing now?" Then the realization hit me--he wasn't being playing, as he always did--he was dying. I went to phone my brother-in-law Alan as I knew he would have him put down for me, and Gabriel rose and tried to follow as he always did. His entire body was askew, and he was leaning over before he fell. Evidently he had had a stroke. My sister tried her best to comfort but told me her husband was at a track meet for the next hour and would come as soon as he could, and so I spent that time lying on the floor with "little man." I'll spare you the graphic details, as it wasn't pretty. But despite everything, I could still hear the precious "thump, thump, thump" of his tail when I spoke and his eyes pierced and permeated every cell in my being with complete, unconditional love and innocence. So I prayed with him and asked him to wait in Heaven for me. I know I'll survive Moosie's passing, but I just want to take the pain away from my most loving mother! Thanks again. I'm serious when I say I'm going to lean on you. Has anyone ever told you that you're addictive? God Bless and Thanks, Gigi
champ3377 says, Dear Pamelairene, I found out the results late because of my mother's dog being sick, and the first thought after thanking God was thanking YOU. You help me keep my values straight--and I'm leaning on you. What an incredible woman you are. Thank you, thank you, thank you! May the goodness you give to others come back to you a hundred-fold. God Bless, Gigi
champ3377 says, Pamelairene, with all respect--stop bringing tears to my eyes (and ruining my makeup)!!! I am so kidding here. Last night I thought how much I want to do this and then I said, "Lord, if You want it to be, it will be. If not, I still have You and so I need to keep my priorities straight. You ARE my life." I'm just stunned that you recognized what I'm REALLY about, underneath all the products. How unique and precious you are! (Hey, I have to say these things. If I'm hit by a truck tomorrow and die, God forbid, you'll never know what I was thinking.) God Bless and Thanks, Gigi
champ3377 says, Dear Pamelairene, Are you for real? Who does "kind" any longer. YOU DO! Your remarks are appreciated more than you know. I intended to ask to keep communicating with you but didn't want to pester. It would be my pleasure. God Bless and Thanks Much, Gigi (Founder/CEO of the the "Pamelairene Fan Club." Join this weekend and you'll receive 25% off your membership. Did I just write that?)
champ3377 says, Forgot--if you made it through my verbose rambling, that WAS your penance! Again, many thanks.
champ3377 says, Dear Pamelairene, Ah--where to start? I had eye surgery the other day and can't be on the computer for more than a few minutes, so I'm going to ramble (pardon me, please). I'm sitting here chuckling--I lied about my age, too (also 45). I'm not aging gracefully as my mind is "locked" somewhere between the ages of 16 and 23, but my body is betraying me. Looks like we both need to go to confession and do penance--big time! It's often strange to stand in front of my students, as I was in their seats just last week, I swear! Who put life on "fast-forward?" I perused your profile and some of your reviews and learned quite a bit. You are completely hysterical (as in using trial-size shampoo bottles after having a disastrous haircut and your comments about "commitment to brown; what has brown ever done for me?"). Genius! Your writing flows effortlessly, replete with great adjectives and attention to detail, and you were "woman enough" to admit that you couldn't afford makeup brushes. Neither could I! Your piece about teens liking Mark products so that they could learn it doesn't take many items to be pretty couldn't be more sagacious. I truly love my students, but they can be a tad jaded at times, with a "what's-in-it-for-me?" attitude. I showed them a video on the basketball player who developed $15.00 tennis shoes which are completely comparable to $250.00 versions in terms of quality. I asked my classes if they ever spent a fortune on shoes and wanted to know why, and I had more than a few say, "Yes--because I have it." Yikes and double-yikes! If you have it, save it and/or give it to others who are hurting in this economy. When you told Meg that the "The Lord is my portion" and cares for her, I had chills over my body and nearly fainted. That took enormous courage. I live on Scripture. He is my portion as well and you've set an example for me. Oh, and then there's the gorgeous picture of your mom (and photos of your family--you're stunning). What a woman of substance! I'm so glad you're happily married as well; my anniversary is on June 23 (eighteen years). Please drop everything, find or phone your husband, and remind him that he is greatly blessed to have you! Gigi the Humbled
champ3377 says, Dear Pamelairene, I'm also not "politically correct," so please don't be flustered if I tell you that I LOVE you for your comment to Meg (no worries--I'm a happily married woman). I could hate you because you're young and I'm not, but you are kind--and real beauty begins within! Thanks Much and God Bless, Sister Gigi
kacey says, I use the 302 products. I have just started at the beginning of May. I use 2 cleansers, the lightening drops, 302 serum, and the recovery plus. I am very happy with the products, love how they feel on my skin. Since I have just used these a short time, I can only comment on a healthy glow I have. I want to see the effects of 302 on freckles and wrinkles!
kacey says, wanted to know if you are still using the 302 products and still loving them? Any updates?
mel9 says, Hi Pam - I used the ERA on my face - see my review on it (2nd from top). It's glowy, but beautiful - love it!!
shelley says, I'm so sorry to hear that your mom passed away at such a young age! There is no pain like losing a mother! Its coming up on 2 years since my mom died. :( She was only 63. I miss her so much. Yes, I always come home all refreshed and recharged from my shopping sprees. And with lots of goodies to play with at home! I'm pretty sure I bought out Origins...I love the Plantidote products by Dr. Weil. And Aveda....oh, Aveda! The tourmaline line is my favorite!! Gee, someone is having shopping withdrawal! :)
shelley says, Hi! Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm really loving this site! I hope to make lots of new friends and find some fun new toys. :) Yes, I just really miss the OC and all the great shopping. I live in the Bay Area now and even though there is some great shopping in San Francisco, I just love going back home. I miss the beaches! I go to Costa Mesa alone every Spring as my little private getaway from all my domestic and motherly duties. I can't wait to go back...and I was just there! That is a gorgeous picture of your mom!! And I have got to try that Abyssine by Kiehls...sounds wonderful.
pamelairene says, My husband is an serious tea drinker.. loose leaf only..I'm used to fine tea leaves.. do you know of another place to by whole tea leaves?
gressett says, Hi! Thanks for your question. I buy my yerba mate from www.yerba-mate.com They have a whole amazing print out of the benefits of yerba mate. The one thing they do not list is the cosmetic benefits. I think my skin looks amazing after drinking it. When I drink tea or coffee my eyes get dark circles and my skin dries out. The opposite seems to happen with yerba. That is my experience anyway. Happy drinking!
