I can't live without this product...

The spawn of two self-proclaimed "oil slicks," I was inexplicably born with tight, dry skin. As if this were not enough, my skin is also maddeningly finicky; for most of my life, my choice of moisturizer hinged on whether I preferred redness and flakes or breakouts for the time being. There seemed to be no middle ground (read: no hope). That is, until my 19th birthday. My mother, a fellow beauty junkie, got me a Clinique skin care set. All the included products were grand, but the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion blew me away. For the first time in my life, my skin was balanced and--dare I say?--beautiful. The lotion, like the rest of the products in the Clinique sensitive skin care line, is unscented and gentle enough for twice-daily use. A tiny dab is enough to moisturize the entire face, meaning that you won't have to worry about running out of this fabulous product for several months. Best of all, the lotion is inexpensive ($11.50 for a small tube), especially considering my many dollars wasted on ineffective products. I recommend Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion without reservation for women with dry, sensitive skin. And you gals with oilier skin, fret not: Clinique offers a gel version, which I hear is equally wonderful! --Notionist

I wouldn't die, but I would suffer greatly without this product...

My secret beauty recipe and best makeup tips...

How long does it really take me to get ready? What's my beauty routine?

It takes me at least an hour. The routine itself doesn't take so long, but I am easily distracted.

While Meg's mom used to give her at-home perms, my most mortifying makeup moment is...

Back in middle school, I had a perm. The perm was, surprisingly, not the issue; my stick-straight "beast bangs" left over from kindergarten were. Between my "unique" hairdo, my caked-on white eyeshadow, and my $2 plastic Claire's chokers, I was not a fashion force to be reckoned with.

My celebrity doppelganger (or so I'm told sometimes) is...

Jodie Foster.
