I can't live without this product...

I wore "Angel" perfume for 15 years after finding it while in Hong Kong...no one, including myself could smell it any more. So...earlier this year,I went on a quest for the "Holy Grail" of esoteric-scents that would scent me like a Goddess and knock my man to his knees. Tried quite a few but when I found "Black Gardenia" at "Luckyscent",my heart skipped beats! If you love "Fracas" or any other great single-note floral, you will die over this:creamy, heavy, sexy beyond belief, totally female, but not cloying gardenia that dries down to something you'd smell on the pillow of THE latest lady some Royal was trysting with... Seriously, this stops men in their tracks and I am in love with the scent and packaging which takes anything "too sweet" away from this dark/rich,posy!
I like "Black Gardenia perfume" (Others who like it too...indianafarmwife padecarlis bonjour773 )

I wouldn't die, but I would suffer greatly without this product...

Lip Fusion XL

Yep...I admit it...at 53,I get "Restalayne" around my mouth and a bit to poof my lips...this products really DOES extend the length of time I can go between those "oh so painful but love the results visits!"It seriously works...

Without this product, I'd have to start drinking at noon ;-) ...

Boots# 7 Intelligent Balance Mousse Foundation

I have tried soooooo many in a relentless search to find one that didn't irritate my sensitive skin ans covered the nasty-bits without looking tacky. Can I tell you that THIS CHIT IS AMAZING??? It's sold at Tar-gay (Target) and comes in a heavy glass jar with a lil' scoop that looks beautiful on a vanity.Bought it on a whim,I liked the display... Feels like nothing, glides on like... well....mousse!Covers it ALL,leaves a subtle glow, doesn't irritate. Great shades, wears all day and stays flawless, nothing else I have tried works like this in any price range!

My secret beauty recipe and best makeup tips...

Organic Coconut Oil...this stuff will fix ANYTHING! Smear it on your hair, your body, your feet right from the jar,has no scent...will sink right in and leave only smooth-goodness behind! Also shea butter...the "real stuff" you can get online by the pound, not the waxy,watered-down version.I just whip it up with my "Kitchen Aid" mixer adding a bit of the above-adored coconut oil and a touch of grapefruit seed extract(a natural preservative)adding a bit of whatever BPAL fragrance- oil owns me that day and voila! THE best smear me on and smell fabulous stuff!

How long does it really take me to get ready? What's my beauty routine?

One Hour,15 minutes to get REALLY dolled up(lashes,clip-in extensions included) straight from a hot bubble bath with wet hair... Attitude to go with comes faster these days. :)

While Meg's mom used to give her at-home perms, my most mortifying makeup moment is...

The "Candlelight Pink" lipstick my Mom bought me(God...I remember the NAME!) when I was @ 13...it looked pink in the tube but turned a horrific shade of orangey-red after I put in on...wore it out one night to a Catholic School Dance(aka a joke!) and people were laughing because it was so bright...tried to scrub it off with a brown paper towel:0 and liquid-soap from the ladies room and ended up looking like a brain-eating Zombie for HOURS after,LOLROF!

My celebrity doppelganger (or so I'm told sometimes) is...

Haven't heard a "you look like" in a while,I have jeans older than most of the "celebs" currently.

  • champ3377 says, Another great word? "Profoundly." (I am NUTS!) Your idea to do a "patch test" was excellent, as people don't think to follow through that way.

  • champ3377 says, Hey, Goddess Granny, I haven't been smiling a lot lately, but you NEVER fail to make me do so! Thank you; I have a lot of issues going on, and I am taking it day by day, leaning on the Lord. Doctors continue to throw me around to find out all of the causes for my non-stop headaches (they began after eye surgery and they are directly related to light). It sure puts the world in perspective, doesn't it? What surfaces is that ONE thing: Some people are truly good, empathetic people (not a huge amount, but a great concentration are at Meg's site), and YOU, my dear, are one! I apologize for taking so long to answer. I have very limited time on the computer right now. Love, Thanks, and God Bless, Gigi

  • champ3377 says, I agree with Jeanasina--you never leave me without snorting and you have a VERY strong influence on what I review (Nivea was from Meg but it worked; the only thing lacking is strong sun protection). I not only want to do my best for Meg and the readers, but also for you. Please take that as a huge compliment! Need prayer--I'm having ridiculous headaches, have lost some vision, and my mom has been diagnosed with cancer. She was fine a few weeks ago and now she's in a rehab (her doctor worked that out because she doesn't want to be in a hospice). This is more than breaking my heart--dear Lord, it's incredibly tough. No one gets off the planet alive, but I despise cancer more than I can say. I lost my dad to it at fifty-six. Sorry to vent--I hurt and you are witty, gorgeous, and compassionate. God Bless, Gigi

  • papoose! says, It's so good to see another South Texas lady on here! I'm in Beaumont (ok, so it's Southeast Texas. It's still hot & humid). I hope all goes well for all of us during Ike! I love your coconut oil recommendations: I just descovered a coconut milk/oil sereum that actually works in this humidity. Miracle stuff! Oh, and I loved the lipstick incident, too!

  • champ3377 says, I'm generally not a person who needs affirmation, but a comment you made remains in my head when I shop and I work extra hard for you, dear; you said, "Damn girl, you really do dig deep for those treasures . . ." and it made me feel really good, especially coming from you. Darn! I wish your post on the Geonome cream didn't fall on a Sunday, when most people are out and about. I thought you did a brilliant job bringing up whether this product actually works or whether people fall for the DNA claims. That's why one of my degrees is in marketing--I continually ponder why some things sell and others don't. And I loved your candor. Heck, Ruthann, I just love you!

  • champ3377 says, Oh, and I thought it was just me. Unless it is an emergency, I mentally critique a woman's makeup and am ashamed of myself but am thrilled to hear I'm not alone. I used to work in downtown Pittsburgh, where the "fashion parade" made the trek to work. I had a thought for everyone, as in "Love your hair color," "you can use lipstick, dear," "Too much eyeshadow for work," and more. Shame on me! Pantina seems to be spreading this line and it's been publicized in a lot of magazines. I probably own more makeup than most places sell, but this is one of the BEST "cheap chic" products I've used in my life. When their site is up again, I'll tell them we're having a problem finding their items and they'll be glad to help. You will have NO GUILT--the only guilt you'll have is if you don't buy them at such a great price. I actually pushed my pricey shadows/blushes aside and find myself reaching for these palettes!

  • champ3377 says, Forgot--Monica has gained a lot of weight but her face is beautiful. She has fperfect, full lips (unlike me) and I was glued to the television. How ridiculous--a president was about to be impeached and I'm studying her makeup!

  • champ3377 says, You are just too cute (and funny as in "mud pies"). This kit is nearly goof-proof. What do I shop for? I walk the aisles until something gets me in my "gut." My husband's joke is that I buy new products before they're on the shelves or advertised. I was holding Maybelline's new mascara since I already covered shadows, but I fell in love with the colors. So there went the mascara . . . I'm not sure if Walgreen's sells it yet; do you have Rite Aid drugstores by you? It's weird--some sell the shadows and others the entire face palette. The palette is superior. Evidently they've gotten a lot of press in magazines, deservedly so! Thanks!

  • champ3377 says, I hear you--it's hard for a redhead! Pardon me if I told you this, but I was embarrassed by my auburn hair in high school even though my boyfriend and other friends loved it. I kept saying, "Red, what red?" Thank God for Julia Roberts and "Pretty Woman," when the sales of red hair coloring actually more than quadrupled--did you know that? The blonde shade isn't a red hue, but you can use a more appropriate eyeshadow powder and you still won't have spent much money. Love having the wax and tweezers. I HATE when I'm sitting in broad daylight and see stray hairs, so they come in handy! Death to stray hairs! You have the most charming way of writing that I can't wait for your comments. God Bless, Gigi

  • mjsred says, I have tried some of the products in the 3 lines you mention and all are "good" depending on the application! I just love the idea of simmering in the tub or overnight (when Mike goes to play :) with something nurturing in my hair...I am in lust with the "Spectrum" line of "organic virgin" (how DO coconuts become ho's,LOLROF!) coconut oil...seriously. A model in LA told me about it last year and I have been hooked ever since! It's like 10 dollars for a glass jar of 14oz and doesn need refrigeration so it's near my tub.I smear it on everywhere,it fixes all the dry-spots and makes everything smooth and silky, not greasy at all, smells lightly of an island breeze naturally, and when it's used like Ojon in the hair,it leaves it silky and shiny and yummy yoo! I'd love for you to give something like this a try as well as your current brands for experiment/review.

  • sweetassgal says, My hubby thought I was burning incence!!! hehe. Coconut oil sounds like a great idea too. I've done A LOT of research between Ojon, FF and Jonathan and I'm preparing an experimental "who's comes out on top" for an upcoming review. It's been hard enough to choose a winner thus far but we'll see! Although I think I may have to trade in the FF for a contender since its not really natural or organic and in that concern the coconut oil is BRILLIANT! Woohoo Miss Red...you just inspired me. Sweet. God love ya!

  • sweetassgal says, Quick question about the Ojon Restorative Treatment...how do you feel about the scent. I had hippie parents so I'm used to "earthy" scents...but my hubby HATED it and I don't think he'll come around me if I smell like it! Even after I showered and shampoo'd it lingered. Does it hinder you at all? Just curious.
