Beauty about me: I enjoy trying new products, whether it is makeup, lotions, soaps, or just about anything. My main obsession is and always has been lipgloss or pretty much any lip products. The last few years I have really gotten into eyeshadow and mascara as well. I try to go as natural as possible when it comes to skin care. I keep up to date with the latest makeup releases and trends, and Urban Decay and Tarte are my main makeup loves - I can't resist!
General about me: I went to college for digital media (hence the photoshopped pics), I live with my boyfriend in cold cold Wisconsin and work at a newspaper. My other obsessions besides beauty products are: music (pretty much all except for country), concerts, music festivals, travelling, literature (was also an english major), cooking, wine, sewing, my adorable cat, hats, and photography.
I have a beauty blog, mostly makeup/skin care reviews, I try to use organic/natural/vegan/cruelty free products so it has a lot of that on there:

Natural skin care! I used to have tons of problems with my skin and finally started using only organic soap for cleansing, Burt's Bees sensitive skin lotion, and certain natural oils and fruit butters for my eye area and my skin is finally even toned and glowing, like I always wanted it to be. I realized the chemical laden products I was using to get rid of my skin problems were actually causing them - imagine that!
Generally I spend about 10-20 minutes on makeup. This includes moisturizer, Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation, UDPP with eyeshadow (usually 3-5 colors, I like playing with eyeshadow!), mascara, and Tarte blush.
|My Horror Story:||
Once I used a bleach blonding kit to make my already blonde hair "1-2 shades lighter". Of course it turned my hair banana yellow, and I was nicknamed banana head my entire freshman year of high school, and laughed at as soon as I walked into every class. My prom photos from that year are terrible, I have dark roots and this bright yellow hair. I haven't dyed my hair since!
Thanks to Meg sending me so many great UD products, I am competely in love with this brand. I love the eyeshadows, the Skyscraper mascara, the 24/7 gloss and the pocket rocket gloss, and of course the primer potion. These are staples now in my beauty arsenal and I can't get enough of this company :) I recently got the Naked palette and use quite often, all the shades are lovely and so blendable.
Natural Bliss is the new love of my life... I struggled with problem skin for a long time, but since I switched to this line my skin is finally clear and glowing. I use their Olive and Herb soap, facial serum, passion fruit oil, and kaolin clay scrub. Their products are hand made and last a long time, and the owners are very knowledgable and happy to answer questions. I'm so happy I found this! You can check it out at mynaturalbliss.com, and they sell things like hair and skin care, natural fruit butters and oils, body oil, ect.
I got the Tarte Royal Collection for Christmas and love it - all the shades are very pretty and blendable, it has a great balance of matte and shimmer shades, and it's very versatile for day and evening looks. Also the little extras it came with are very useful for on the go! I also love their Amazonian clay blush, of which I now have 5 shades, and I have been using it every day even though I have lots of other blush options. Goes on like a dream, lasts all day, and has just the right amount of color for me. I also have the 8th Wonder of the World set from QVC and like it a lot. Tarte is one of those companies that I just know I'll be using for the rest of my life.
