I am retired from corporate life - and then found my 2nd wind as a volunteer docent in an art museum. LOVE IT! Got a good husband, two lovely stepdaughters, and 2 strange dogs. Life is beautiful!

|My Beauty Secret:||
I recently started using BeautiControl skin care products. I can't believe how much better my skin looks and feels. I give myself facials whenever I feel like it. Somedays, I just mix my cleanser, scrub, and warming mask in my hand and apply to my face. About once a week, I use the chemical peel and microdermabrasion. I (humbly) believe my skin now looks as young as my much younger friends!
I am getting so much better with this. Now that I just let my curls have their way with my head, the getting ready part doesn't take long at all. Lightly towel dry hair, and pull it back from my face. I do my skin care routine (above) which takes almost no time. And then for the extra-fun part. I use EITHER my Classified Cosmetics spray foundation - or my Laura Geller baked foundation. Lately, I've been using Laura more and more. I love to add and mix color on my eyes, cheeks and lips. With all my products right there in front of me, i can get it all done in about 20 minutes. UNLESS I decide to blow my hair straight. Then all bets are off.
|My Horror Story:||
Red hair. REALLY red hair in a shade not found in nature. Ronald McDonald red hair. I like red hair on others, but NOT THIS SHADE.

Shelley Winters... this was told to me by two different people, neither of whom I liked very much. I am still in denial about this! They did say it was a younger, and not-so-fat Shelley, but still... I can remember when people said I looked like Mia Farrow. That was much better!
I've been blabbing about Classified Cosmetics Aero Minerale spray foundation since it was introduced. I do love it. However, lately Laura Geller is becoming more and more a part of my routine. I'm not sure which will win the foundation war - but the baked and brighten is gaining ground.
I've also been yappin' about Jessicurl forever. As a verrry curly girl, I depend on her great products... particularly when I'm letting my curls have their way. Recently, I started using Mixed Chicks hair silk and that is also a winner. What I love most about the hair silk (MUCH better than biosilk, BTW) is that I can also use it on my hair when I want to blow it out. I can actually get some control and shine. Oh My!
