My secret beauty recipe and best makeup tips... I don't know if it's a secret or if I just figured out what perhaps everyone already knew, but if your blonde and are heading out and you notice your hair looks like an oil field.. shake some baby powder on your head, and shake it around... your hair looks clean, and you smell pretty good!! Bumble & Bumble Hair Powder works good too, but Baby Powder.. lets face it the price is right!How long does it really take me to get ready? What's my beauty routine? I play in a band where we sometimes only have 20 minutes to get sassy before we play, so I've gotten pretty fast.. 20 minutes..top speed..1 hour if I have it, 1 1/2 with wine breaks!While Meg's mom used to give her at-home perms, my most mortifying makeup moment is... Getting my hair chopped off when I went in for a trim at the age of 5.. I've been afraid of hair cuts ever since.My celebrity doppelganger (or so I'm told sometimes) is... So, i still want to order from them - what would you suggest? I'm thinking that amber paste sounds fun and I noticed on your profile you mix it with...Egyptian musk? or should I get one of their vanillas? or all 3, i guess! let me know what you think of the new bpal le's - i think i have til end April to put in my order...
mel9 says, Hey Lil - haven't written you back yet about Kuumba b/c I haven't received it yet, but per her customer service girl, she couldn't match it exactly, but a brand new scent they've developed is close. So they're sending me a free sample, and it's not even available to the public yet! So, if not that, I'll definitely order at least something amber or vanilla from them, just cuz i'm so impressed. I am definitely adding the imp you mentioned to my list -= how are the other ones? i haven't put in my next order yet - but I'm gonna real soon. Take it easy ~Mel

Well, my god they actually asked Kuumba herself about it, and she wants me to send them a sample so she can match it - wow, what customer service!! Thanks so much for turning me on to this company!

I also sent them an email with the notes of my Venezia perfume, so I'll see what they come back with. I'm also discovering that I guess I"m a floral oriental lover - didn't think I was floral at all - geez this is all so confusing. My vanity table is going to be filled with samples and imps by the time this is all done - oh, cuz i'm also going to the jo malone counter tomorrow to pick out a bunch of their small sizes from some samples i got there. Are you into her stuff at all. from what i've smelled of hers so far, they don't really follow the oriental rich amber, musk, vanilla stuff - but I do like the idea of something clean and fresh for spring. but, she may too - i've only tried the citrus/fruity stuff from her so far...so many decisions...any new imps lately? i haven't put in my next order yet. Esp Bastet sounds good to me...but...what's up with Herbert West?? enbalming fluid and reanimation agents!! does that seriously smell good? Frankenstein is one of my alltime fav movies though. so my first order was a collage of island flowery stuff (which i found i just don't want to smell like-only like the smell in nature) and orientals (alltime fav perfume was Venezia-can't find a good replacement-they sent me an email with suggestions to replace it after i had already ordered my first set). What i got first was snake oil (love), morocco (love), venice (not sure yet), bathsheba (like-but not floral part), i died for beauty (so-so, a little floraly), osun(lots of honey-l like, BF thinks it smells like bathroom cleaner), pele (way too floral), and eden(really sweet, wouldn't wear alot, but really like it). At BPAL, they suggested that based on my oriental thing, i'd like: queen mab, pannychis, vicomte de valmont, monna vanna, ave maria, eclipse, and carnaval diabolique. Have you tried any of those? Write when you have time-I know that's ALOT!!

I had so many gift certificates that I had a hard time using them up before they expired. Now I'm lucky if I get to soak in the tub with out interruptions. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas too! chiquita says, oopsy...i was changing my top three things i cant live without and had to switch smashbox from the #2 spot to #3 because I just fell in love with a new lotion I've been trying that is soooo great(you can see it on my profile if you want) and for some reason when i switched it it didnt take your recommendation with it so now it says you recommend the lotion i put in #2....just thought I'd let you know if you wanted to change it.....or better yet you could try it and leave your recommendation....im sure you'd love it! what do you say..??:)
chiquita says, [[tears streaming down my face]]...what a disappointment it was to go to the store and find out they dont carry maybellines lash expansion!!...i was so determined and ready to walk in that store, grab it and go.....instead i was left wandering aimlessly trying to see what to get...i do agree with you on loreals voluminous...i speak volumes of it!!..i love it for night time or if im just in the mood for drama..lol...so since they didnt have the one you suggested i found another that i tried and actually really liked for daytime...its Revlons Luxurious Lengths....it gives length, curl, and a bit of volume but leaves your lashes super soft to the touch...i noticed too i dont waste as much either...i have this problem that everytime i apply mascara it gets all over my eyelids...i still cant figure out why...well with this one practically all of the mascara goes only on my lashes and the brush is amazing at seperating and defining my lashes with no clumps....so i guess that will be my alternative...thanks again for all your help...im going voluminous tonight...woohooo!!:)
