I can't live without this product...
I wouldn't die, but I would suffer greatly without this product... Bourjois Drole de Sourcil Brow Mascara
Without this product, I'd have to start drinking at noon ;-) ... Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner pencils.
My secret beauty recipe and best makeup tips... Squirt some body lotion in your hand (whatever you fancy) and tap in some loose shimmer powder. Mix together in hands and apply to shoulders, shins, collar bones, arms and you'll glo like J-Lo. Skip the hair dryer. I shower at night anyway ( I cant stand to go to bed dirty and sweaty). I just put my hair in a loose braid and then I can either leave it wavy (add some Fekkai wave spray/beach waves) or its a quick flat-iron fix cause only the bottom half is wavy. Much lesss heat-damage! A little bit of metallic eyeliner (silver or gold) in the inside corners of your eyes gives you a subtle, but irresistable sparkle. How long does it really take me to get ready? What's my beauty routine? 2 hours. I drink during. It's called multi-tasking, ladies. While Meg's mom used to give her at-home perms, my most mortifying makeup moment is... Ok, I remembered a good one the other day. About how I used to rock the pink eyeshadow, lash to brow and I do me PINK with white frosty eyeliner. Oh, and lets not forget the glitter. This was seventh grade, ladies, and I was a (wannabe) DIVA!My celebrity doppelganger (or so I'm told sometimes) is... I get Kirstie Alley alot. I dont really understand why. It might be attitude/mannerisms. An old boyfriend found this picture of Michelle Branch once - really did look ALOT like me.kate2004rock's Messages (137 Total | Leave Me A Message) |

angieb725 says, Kate thanks so much for all of your advice! I left a comment on your last post regarding skin care - I was wondering if you could tell me what the most fabulous moisturizer would be for my skin! I'm at such a loss, there are so many out there. I would go to a Sephora and ask but there are none near me. I'm 20, and have very normal skin. I just want to prevent all that yucky stuff. Thank you so much!
champ3377 says, Kate, I'm grateful for the tip about taking full advantage of the color wheel. I can't thank you enough for helping me to be here--it's so good I'm in shock! This is so much more than a review site; it's a community of friends!
indianafarmwife says, hey you! How's you're brother doing in the clean-up?
kellie76 says, Kate-Thanks for all of the tips. I will give the clinique a shot. But I have two questions. Is thebalm timebalm a good acne concealer? Or do you have other suggestions. I also wondered if you put a primer or shine control gel on before or after sunscreen? I appreciate the help.
champ3377 says, Dear Kate, WOWEE! Your skin care advice was humorous but very thorogh. I used to work at the University of Pittsburgh's Medical School, and the physicians did a number of studies on how Vitamin helps in many ways. You did your homework! Just one thing: HOW DO I FOLLOW THAT? God Bless, Gigi
indianafarmwife says, My house & the grain leg sit on a bluff above the river – well out of the flood plain, So I’m dry. Just in dire need of a toes-up and covered in insect bites. At this stage, the community worries revolve around fulfilling grain contracts when the crops are gone. And everyone will deal with that and shovel mud. I can’t even fathom what your brother has gone through - I keep watching Iowa and am just horrified by magnitude of the disaster. I’m really shocked that he wasn’t allowed to leave! BTW - I got a Caudalie sample at Sephora this week. I'm really diggin it.
sweetassgal says, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Meg and Kate! I am SO excited and completely honored to be your next Green Chi Tuesday's reviewer. I accept the challenge and welcome the chance to bring you reviews that are enthusiastic, unabashedly honest and hopefully rib ticklin' funny! I know I've got some MAJOR Choo's to fill so I promise to work hard, be on time and always put my megs girls first! GLAM ON megsmakeup gals!
meg says, Oh my gosh! Call me! How the heck am I going to choose? Everyone is awesome!!! HELP!!
38goingon29 says, Ah shucks Kate, you are too good to me!
txtipster says, Kate, thanks for your Sephora wisdom. You make it much easier for me to shop there without feeling overwhelmed with all the choices. Hope your having a great summer. Tiffany
desertdoll says, Hi lady! I'm emailing you tonight. Miss you too. My husband just can't talk about products like you can. XO.
katehrm777 says, I feel you on the crazy sorority business. While I will miss my roommates, I will certainly not miss the insane amounts of drama over incredibly menial stuff (omg! becky was flirting with some guy I had in a class and thought was cute four years ago...I hate her!Lets all hate her! etc etc) that living with 65 girls entails. I went to UC Berkeley here in California, and I was actually strongly considering living at home with my parents, working at Ulta and receiving home made lunches as well so no judgement from me. Far better than scrounging to make rent. Much more important to use that rent money on say, natural beauty makeup by Carmindy for Sally Hansen or perhaps Caudalie vinoperfect radiance serum. Anyways congrats on graduate school (I remember reading it on a post, I'm not like a complete terrifying stalker)...what are you going to be studying?
katehrm777 says, Hi Kate! Thanks so much for letting me know where I can find the Sally Hansen makeup!!! Since I just bought a new Armani Luminous silk and Tarte Smooth Operator obviously there is nothing I need more than a brand new foundation. Also I want to say that it is possible that we were twins separated at birth and are now meeting each other, The Parent Trap style. My name is also Kate, I also am graduating college class of 2008, I work at a Sephora substitute called Ulta, i was going to go to Paris to study abroad and I am a makeup obsessed crack lunatic. Anyways I've been wanting to say hi for awhile since I love your reviews and they have helped me many a time (also because of the twin-separated at birth thing) and I hope your summer is going great! Kate 2
vexy says, Congrats, Kate! I have a question for you, since you do work at Sephora and I am applying there at the moment: did they require you to have experience in beauty sales/beautician classes?
desertdoll says, Congrats on Texas Tech!!! Are you majoring in Caudalie? Seriously though, good job. You must be so happy. XO~S.
mel9 says, Katie - I bet you're busy with finishing up school stuff, but when you have time - need some Caudalie advice. Love my moisturizer (Lancome Primordiale Recharge) but am now looking to get rid of acne scars and broken capillaries (spider veins? w/e!). Reading old Caudalie posts and thinking the Vinoperfect serum is my best bet - would you agree? Thanks so much - going to Sephora asap to get the mask you recommended recently and w/e you rec here. ~Mel
meg says, Hey darling! Can you ost your Sugar review and let the fab Sugar rep know its up? Call me tonight! Lot going on! Love you!!! Meg
mel9 says, Thanks Katie! I have added the Boscia to my Sephora list - I'll let ya know how it works...I have a feeling this yuck I can't get rid of on my chin is going to have to be solved by a dermatologist though, unfortunately. Did you ever get your hands on Pixel Pink? I kept waiting to hear if I should go buy it for you! If so, what do ya think?
desertdoll says, So have you tried the O Gloss yet? I LOVE it! Shocking, right? Hope your well Lovely. XO~DDoll
sweetassgal says, Hey there! Any chance you could explain the "stippling" trick to me that you referenced in your post...it sounds like others love it as well. Also one of your reviewers mentioned your tips are getting her "make up optional" skin. Anything you could pass on would be great! Thanks much! sweetassgal
