I can't live without this product...
I wouldn't die, but I would suffer greatly without this product... Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
Without this product, I'd have to start drinking at noon ;-) ... Suki Lemongrass Scrub
My secret beauty recipe and best makeup tips... My make-up tip needed some changing.. After too many hours in the river bottoms (flood), I wound up COVERED in insect bites. Then I had an epiphony! There had been a Green Chi post on Tea Tree Oil! It's true, that little gem takes the itch right out of those nasty little buggers. Live in a swamp? Get some tea tree oil NOW!How long does it really take me to get ready? What's my beauty routine? With a face like this it takes something more than wine breaks to get ready...While Meg's mom used to give her at-home perms, my most mortifying makeup moment is... After reading the casualties of hair colouring (http://www.megsmakeup.com/index.php?p=400) I decided my own hair event fell far below the make-up nightmare bar. So I’ve changed my mortifying moment to one reflecting a bit of my klutziness. I purchased a wand-type waxing kit for a bit of brow maintenance. Zapped it in the microwave (according to directions). Did a test on my forearm (according to directions). Then applied to aforementioned brows. Too Hot! I actually burned my skin and was left with a 2-week flakey, almost scabby, mess. The sad thing is, a couple of months later, I DID THE SAME THING! DUH.My celebrity doppelganger (or so I'm told sometimes) is... Holly Hunter, a young Stockard Channing, and Pluto - the dog, not the celestial body. I really don't understand the first two...indianafarmwife's Messages (95 Total | Leave Me A Message) |

artsyfartsy says, Hi there, I hope all is well with you. I just want to let you know (if you don't already...I may be the last one to hear) that Besamecosmetics.com is having a ridiculous sale. I just picked up part of Christmas for my sister and mom. How are things with you? I have a cat now too. How is your little one? Good, I hope! Oh to be cat...I could use a day or two to just sleep through it:) Take care and hope to hear from you.
kryssanthe says, I sent you an email and deleted your message so you don't get spammed. I'm awesome that way. I freaking LOVE your address, btw....*jealous*
kryssanthe says, Send me your email address. :)
kryssanthe says, It's come to my attention that there is an huge shopping outlet located right next to one of the nuclear power plants, so the third eye/extra digits is pretty much a given. I did notice that there haven't really been any posts about items that we received, so at least I'm not the only one. I have to say, it's hard to turn someone onto a product based on one person using it. Unless that person peddling an item is me. I have charisma. *blinks innocently*
kryssanthe says, IFW--I've missed you bunches! Things have been a little busy/crazy at this end getting our house ready to sell and I stopped receiving products to review months ago for some reason and I swear most of the items for the last few months have been a little obscure for even me, so I had no reviews to give :( I was just stoked there were a few products posted that I actually have tried! How's my farmwife doing?
kate2004rock says, I have noticed Perricone's new packaging Ceramic smoorthers are messed up too. They get watery and separate! Go with the Pores No More from Dr. Brandt instead.
steph222 says, Hey girl! Thanks! I found that picture about 10 years ago in a tattoo magazine, of all things. I just loved the pic & always wanted to cover up a "drunk night" tattoo w/ something else - this is SO me, but I just haven't gotten around to doing it. I've even framed this pic b/c I love it so much. I tried to Google it, but just could not find it. My scanner stopped working back when we upgraded to XP, so I actually had to take a pic of it w/ my camera. As far as the Monica thing, they meant Courtney Cox back when I was thin, but apparently I've gained enough weight for an old coworker to call me Monica Lewinsky. Sad day indeed! Take care! :)
steph222 says, Hey there, IFW! I just had to post & let you know that your doppelganger response is fricking hilarious! I read it 10 mins ago & I'm still cracking up! Not too self-effacing there, huh? :) I don't have the puffiness, but I have dark circles like my eyes are bleeding ink and have had them from the word "Go"! I love when people try to give advise like I need more sleep or less caffeine. Hello, I've had them from like a year old on so maybe the sleep is right, but the caffeine wouldn't make sense - unless my mom WANTED me to ensure that she never slept! :) Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself & let you know that you crack me up!
artsyfartsy says, Hi there, Hope all is well with you!! I live in Decatur...the next largest city is Birmingham but I'm closer to Huntsville. Huntsville's claim to fame is Space Camp & Space & Rocket Center. Ever see the movie, Space Camp, with Leah Thompson (Back to the Future)? Well, they filmed it there:) I swear this world is soooo small. How long has your sister lived in Montgomery? If you ever drive to see her, you'll probably come through my neck of the woods. I'm sorry to hear about the University but happy to know you were able to rescue Flotsam, which is a great name, so please give my compliments to FT:) As always, good to hear from! Have a great weekend. I'll be catching up on posts;)
sweetassgal says, Hey darling! Just checking in to see how you are, if you've managed to get any rest and to see how you like the Juara Rice Cleanser after about a month of using it. I'm thinking of using it for my next Green Chi review and want to see if someone else loves it as MUCH as I do! Let me know what you think of it and I hope things are going a bit better for you out there!
artsyfartsy says, Hi You!! I can't complain too much...my home is not under water or damaged. How are things with you? Were you guys affected by the floods? It's unreal at the devastation I'm seeing on the screen. Things are getting a little better my way. I took a few days off last week to visit with my sister who lives outside of Atlanta. I wish I lived in or near a large city still but I live in a smallish town in North AL. We had fun. I gave my sister a bag full of makeup products and I think she is going to join Megsmakeup. Last time I talked with her, we were discussing handles for her profile :P I'll need to followup with her so I can introduce her to you and everyone else! I'm excited to read the new writers' take on products but I definitely will miss ChiChi, Racheal and DDoll. Thanks for leaving me a message...it's always good to hear from you:)
kate2004rock says, I guess he's good! I think he told my mom that he was staying in Iowa City next summer too! LOL.
38goingon29 says, I have been wondering how the flooding has been effecting everyone there. I am so glad you rescued the kitty. You are my hero! :)
38goingon29 says, Hi IFW! Just had to take a closer look at your pig profile picture. Very cool. Hope all is going well and love your pro-SPF comment. Take care, Jen
kellie76 says, Thanks for the great message! I have always loved your posts. It is a pleasure to finally "meet" you. I also very glad to find a fellow "average" mid-western beauty maven who must at times rely on the drugstore beauty to make it happen. I too take the recommendations from here and pepper my beauty routine with a few worthwhile and pricey products. But at least i know that they work from the reviews here. I really have never used Palmers. I am all over that now! Have a good one. I have to have foot surgery today. Send me beautiful thoughts!!
kate2004rock says, Hope you're not too wet. :) I feel you...my brother is "essential UIowa personnel" (campus bus driver - apparently a sweet student job) and couldn't leave. He watched the town sink like the Titanic.
indianafarmwife says, Think that
bridgelevee will be there and it'll be there, Moriarty…. It's a beautifulbridgelevee and it's gonna be there. Good lawd, but I must be sleep deprived… I can’t concentrate on work, but I can giggle about Kelly’s Heros!sweetassgal says, Levee support patrol! My hat off and my heart out to you for that...wow. I'll keep you and your levee in my positive thoughts.
sweetassgal says, I wanted to extend my sincere thanks to you! You don't know it but you are mainly responsible for me entering the chance to be the next DD reviewer. I didn't get it...but am thrilled and honored that they thought enough of me to let me start writing the Green Chi Tuesday's column! You mentioned to me that you thought my posts were funny...and when the opportunity came to write I remembered what you said and figured WHY NOT go for it! And now I get to write for Meg and all my beautiful megs gals! I'm beyond stoked (can't believe I just said that) but I AM! So thank you for your wonderful compliment and for giving me the impression that maybe others might find me funny too! You're wonderful!! GLAM ON!!
sweetassgal says, Thought you'd get a kick out of this...I had a slumber party this weekend...yes I'm 33 and had a slumber party with my girlfriends...and we tried the Juara Rice Cleanser before we did facials. Thunderous applause ALL around. This includes my friend who recently tried some facial products to the stars ($200 a jar at a Las Vegas spa) and loved this just about as much. Kept saying her skin was as soft as her baby daughters bottom! For a kick I went to the website and bought a bottle for each of my best gal pal's for presents. Can't wait to see what they all say of the long term effects. Let me know what you think too...I LOVE to hear when products I discover work well for other ladies too! GLAM ON!!!
