Nose crease acne
I generally don't have a big problem with ance..I mean, I get some, but it's not something I've ever been really concerned about. I will sometimes get what I refer to as "undergound" pimples...lol...where you can feel them before they even really show, ya know what I mean? Anyways, I will sometimes get them on my chin area. But lately, like in the past month or so, I've had 2, and tonight I can feel a third coming, of these kind of pimples in the crease at the side base of the nose. They hurt like crazy, and because of their location, they're a real pain to try to pop or whatever. I use this stuff called Zap It that I put just a tiny bit on like 3 or 4 times and it dries it out.But any clues why I'm getting these all of the sudden? I guess that area would be more common for oil to accumulate...although I generally have dry skin. I wash my face at night (try to be good about it) and I've been wearing mineral makeup that otherwise has been making my skin look and feel really great. It's just one of those annoying things... but I hope they don't keep coming back like this *and I can't remember which side of the nose the previous 2 were*
From within bottles, jars, compacts and tubes.*

I know what you're talking about: I used to have these horribly painful ones in my nose that would take over a week to finally surface, though the skin outside of it would be red the whole time! And then they'd take forever to disappear too :( But I have had bad acne since 13 so I don't know why you'd suddenly start getting them now :(You could go see your derma and have him/her give you a trial tube of Differin or Duac: those worked on me before I started taking Accutane! :) The adapaline will discourage future growth.
Thanks xxciaobella - I don't understand it either. I think I'm going to try the Zap It again (this time I can feel it coming earlier than I did last time, so maybe it'll go away before it really actually appears). I can feel it but only when I press on my nostril. They are the craziest things ever! Agg!I guess if it doesn't go away or keeps coming back, a trip to a derma would be wise. Since I have health insurance now, I guess it would only be the cost of an office visit...unless dermatologists are considered specialists, I'll have to look it up.Anyways, good to know I'm not the only one who has these kinds of pimples. The only consolation is that while it hurts like the dickens for a long time, it don't actually look all that bad (just real red like you said, and kind of swollen)Okay, off to put on the Zap It while I'm thinking about it!

The only thing that I could think of would be stress, or maybe a drastic change in diet? I hope I get the facts straight here - if not someone can surely correct me - but pimples take between 4-6 weeks to form and reach the outermost layer of your skin. So think back a ways and if there was something that you were extremely stressed about, or maybe you dropped your routine because you were on vacation or something? Thats generally what causes more intense breakouts for me. Hope your zit zapper works! I hate those type, they're painful!
Maybe because it's summer that's an area where more sweaty yuckiness can accumulate? That's all I can think of, but yeah I get them there occasionally and I hate them!
i totally feel you on the pain! i have never gotten one on my nose crease area, but i have gotten a few near my hairline. I'm guessing it just tends to accumulate a lot of oil in those areas. ugggh it hurts so bad. hopefully you can visit a dermatologist if you're insurance covers it.

Oooh, the underground ones are the worst! I use something similar to Zap It, and they're both basically just creams with a larger percentage of benzoyl peroxide. It may be because of stress of since it's summer.
My skin goes in cycles, with my cycle... like for instance right now is NOT a good skin time for me because... welll it's that time...I get those nose creasers, they're such a pain, I've got 4 going on now, So does this Zap really work? I need something :(I am sad...
Thanks everyone! I have been on a new eating plan the past few weeks (being more strict about eating only veggies/fruits/beans) and maybe that's caused some stress. Also a friend died 2 weeks ago. And it is more hot and humid since it's the summer, so I guess all those things could definitely cause it.Oh, and sorry, I mistyped the acne stuff. It's ZAPZYT maximum strength acne treatment gel, and I think it does work. It was the cheapest one I could find at the drugstore because I didn't know if it would work, but I got it anyways.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, serendipity. :( *hug*I also get these on the sides of my nose sometimes, and they really do hurt like the dickens! I just try to carefully wash the area with a good antibacterial soap as soon as I feel one coming on, and dab a little bit of TTO on it before bed. Seems to do a good job of speeding them along.
Thanks, Tracey *hug back* What is TTO?

aww, serendipity, i'm so sorry about your friend too. not tracey, but i think TTO might mean tea tree oil? it's supposed to be really good against breakouts.i get those nosecrease pimples sometimes too, and theyre really painful... haven't really found a good solution asides from just waiting it out.
Yep, TTO= Tea Tree Oil! :) It's a really strong antiseptic oil, so you have to be very careful with it.
