I avoid chemical based fragrances and those with pthalates.  You do miss out on a lot of gorgeous scents, but there are some nice ones.  My daily scent is a perfume called Angel by Hiplilly, it's really yummy, spicy and citrusy.

Also I read a blog post on here recently... it was in the archives... there is an new line of organic fragrances at bglowing.com but it didn't actually say whether they contained pthalates or not.  Hang on, I'll look up the brand name... it's Infusion Organique http://www.b-glowing.com/scent/perfume/infusion-organique/

I emailled the company about the Infusion Organique products (because I want to try them myself) and they apparently don't contain pthalates, yay :)

How do you define non-toxic fragrances because on a broad spectrum never had problems with skin rashes from my fragrances. Sure, natural fragrances are always a go go but there are also the chemical fragrances that can be very expressive. Take this very irresistible perfume example, you'll understand why I prefer them.
