My makeup friends (view all 2 friends):

I can't live without this product... | for the new millenium...
I have a rare hair type...med fine but a full forest of it...fine hair but enough for like 4 women. Tangles always a problem. My ex b-friend used this certain shampoo $ conditioner and while at his house I needed to shower and did not have my shampoo. After using this stuff...it was a total blessing after all these years...like a detagler. After years of going through bottles and bottles of all types of conditioners for years...I was SHOCKED that a shampoo could give these type of awesome results! However, the Tea Tree conditioner just DID NOT WORK! (for me) So for 5 years now I've been using this Paul M. product and still having to use "some" kind of deep conditioner in conjuction with it...it detangles under the use of conditioner and in a way I would never have believed (done A LOT of of experimentation 23 years)...God, I wish I would have found this product years ago! With the super density of my hair...the large bottle doesn't last a month...at $25 a pop...so it's expensive to me because I have to buy so much. (it takes three boxes of hair colour just to do my hair if that gives an idea to how much hair I have...not because of length...but density..soakes it right up) So if you have hair that has a tendency to tangle horribly whether having the density I have or baby fine, thick...or whatever type...combine with "some" kind of conditioner...Ie; it does not have to be a super deep, heavy or intensive conditioner anymore...Athough I still use deeper conditioners more often than not. I always have 5...ranging from very light to very deep...this will work for you! I know..I've turned many friends 'on" to this stuff and NO matter the hair type it worked! Sorry so lenghty but I felt the need to share this since I know I'm not the only one who has this problem. If there were no conditioner left in this world...I'd have to cut my hair off really short. Military short. Having a shampoo do this just amazes me. Also I've tried some of the less expensive Tea Tree shampoo's...and they don't work...like Paul M's...Not sure why...but maybe it's the combo and amounts and/or quality of ingrediants. I hope this helps anyone who has this serious tangle problem.

I wouldn't die, but I would suffer greatly without this product... MY Quicksticks...oops pic too big, can't delete though??? Without this product, I'd have to start drinking at noon ;-) ... My Bare Escentials I love my Bare Escentials...which is the product I use on the vast majority of my clients...but I am known to cheat with other brands too. Regular liquid foundation with BE's complexion boosters go so well together. As long as I use the mineral veil...A TOTAL MUST in this makeup regimen. It sets the makeup...diminishes pore size, fine lines, wrinkles, shine (although I also like using Lola's Refine Shine AND Smashbox primer on many ppl. too) the complexion boosters with the mineral veil give a lovely dewy and healthy glow. For those who do not want to part with liquid foundations. This is such a fun...mix and match product line...that is not only okay to sleep in...but can make skin better as time goes on. Skin problems?...sensitivity?...Rosacea?...blotchiness?...broken capillaries?...scars?...you name it. No I do not work for BE's...Just a transplant from California who lives in a very high altitude, very arid...potentially..."wrinkle city"...by 25. The product just rocks. As a makeup artist and ex esthetician...I highly recommend it! As well as many other skin care products and cosmetics.

My secret beauty recipe and best makeup tips... Less is best & blend, blend, blend...a bit MORE added for glam for a night out. I just love the smoky look!
And BTW...Meg, I love your site! You are a very witty lady :-) And the ppl. out here seem so friendly. I stumbled upon this site accidently...no clue how...before making a purchase from Sephora. Thanks to you all...I changed my order for the better! How long does it really take me to get ready? What's my beauty routine? about an hour...15 for makeup and the rest to brush hair over and over..,doesn't look like it but I have a lot of hair. Too much to blowdry...if I don't brush, brush, brush...it will never untangle once dry. I can shower wash it...go to bed by midnight...hair still VERY damp or wet by morning. Don't have the time nor strenghth in arms to blow dry. EVER. Hair I know a lot about...Been dealing with it for so long...I've got all kinds of..."tricks"...Ppl. always say...in person...sooo pretty...but it is a real pain in the ars. Specially when I had it way past my ars. lol. I especially hate the abnormally rapid hair growth with all the silver and some white...silver so hard to cover...found a trick for that eventually. Someday..in bout 10 years...I'm going natural! Ahhh...no more "slave" to the bottle...or should I say bottles! While Meg's mom used to give her at-home perms, my most mortifying makeup moment is... When I was 15 and my mother took me in front of a well lit mirror (sunlight as the light) to point out that I had been attending school in a dark orangeish color foundation and just how lovely my makeup line looked...taught me that sneaking off to school real early in the morn and barely light out so she wouldn't see me wearing makeup that I was not alolowed to yet...wasn't such a good idea after all. How I looked at school...was horrific. I was just grabbing what I could...but the bathroom light was dim...looked good in there...lolMy celebrity doppelganger (or so I'm told sometimes) is... Valerie Bertinelli when I was a teen...nobody since then really...and I didn't even look like her...it was just the hair and round face. Oh, wait...also a thiner, dark haired version of Charlene Tilton...again the hair and round face.

artsyfartsy says, So, I don't have any mineral veil left so I decided to try a loose powder I have on hand beneath the bare minerals. You're right it's an improvement! Less shine. Thank you so much for that tip! I've got to buy some more mineral veil. It's a really good transparent powder. I really like the fact that it doesn't go on too pale. Unfortunately, the corn silk transparent does if heavy handed or applied during the day. Plus, it has shimmer although the pressed powder doesn't... not sure why they do that.
