I can't live without this product...
I wouldn't die, but I would suffer greatly without this product... CAT COSMETICS OPEN SESAMEOW!
Without this product, I'd have to start drinking at noon ;-) ... DDF Blemish Foaming Face Cleanser
My secret beauty recipe and best makeup tips... This one is fairly well known but I love to add just a drop of moisturizer to my foundation. It helps give an even and smooth application and sinks into the skin much better. Also, if you love the look of liquid eyeliner but have a shaky hand I found that a flat brush and wet shadow does the trick. Use a damp flat brush and run it over the shadow, then apply the flat side to the lid – apply a tiny bit with an upside swoop just past the end to open up the eye. The color is just as intense and it is a lot easier to apply that thin, dramatic line. How long does it really take me to get ready? What's my beauty routine? About two hours from shower to hairdrying, dressing and make-up application. Could take less if I'm in a hurry but I like to lounge about with a glass of wine as I prepare! While Meg's mom used to give her at-home perms, my most mortifying makeup moment is... Hmm, I've also had my share of frightening home perms. I'll have to go with my 1986 new-wave mullet! We're talking Howard Jones, spiky on top, long bangs in your face and shaved sides mullet. I believed it to be the height of cool at the time! Oh yea, it was also died fire-engine red!My celebrity doppelganger (or so I'm told sometimes) is... The two top ones have been Winnie Cooper of the Wonder Years and Shannen Doherty of 90210. In the last year I've been told Lindsey Lohan but those people must have been seriously drunk!chichi's Messages (47 Total | Leave Me A Message) |

cac says, I miss reading your Green reviews - and all your posts. Please start writing again! I was learning so much... Thanks.
sharond says, I just got an email about this company. Have you ever heard of them. Lucy B Cosmetics. Their site tells the story about how they use Australian products. http://www.lucybcosmetics.com/about.aspx
crimegirl says, Hi Chichi, I second Sharond. Some reviews on natural/organic makeup would be great especially for us girls who are unable to use 99% of the cosmetics sold at Sephora because of all the preservatives. Josie Maran has her own cosmetics line now which is available online. It was highlighted in a recent edition of Lucky. I'll probably be spending the money soon to get her newest combination palette. Hope things are going well out your way and thanks for the great posts.
sharond says, I look forward to your article every week because I really like all natural, organic products. If you ever get time or a chance, could try some all natural cosmetics. Indidgo Wild has some super all natural mineral eye makeup. The colors are beautiful. I have seen other companies on the web that offer all natural products too. I am too cheap to try on my own as I trust Megs girls with my money when it comes to cosmetics, bath and body, well the whole bit. If you know of any good all natural unscented deodorant, I would love to hear about it.
sharond says, Just in case you would like to announce this little gem; Walgreens Drug Store this month has a deal where you buy Yes To Carrots, you get $9.99 back. I don't know if this is local, we have it here in Colorado. I took your advise from one of your posts and grabbed it for free. I still love Palmers for a drugstore deal.
stevesgirl says, They are so naughty aren't they!! Are yours revenge crappers too? Weiner dog #1 (maddie) had TWO back operations back in 2006. I thought she wouldn't walk again, but $10,000 later she's doing great-she just walks like a drunken sailor & bumps into stuff. I'm really looking forward to your next post. I even ordered a meg's makeup T-shirt! Now I can hang with the cool kids :)
stevesgirl says, Hi there. I'm so happy you have a section on organic & natural products. I've read most your reviews & cant' wait to try something from Arcona. If you ever run out of ideas (which I'm sure you won't) try something from Dr. Hauschka. They don't advertise like a lot of other brands do. I don't know how they'd be about sending samples, but I believe in their cleansing cream & normalizing oil so much that I'sd be wil;ling to purchase their starter kit & send it to you. I see there are a lot of girls ou their with oily/acne skin. This stuff is so gentle but effective, it's not harsh & won't make you break out. You should check out dr. hauschka.com. They have some refreshing approaches to skin care.
crimegirl says, Hey! Thanks for the welcome and the add.
peachykeen says, I realized I never thanked you for welcoming me to Meg's.. so, thanks! :)
himekosorano says, Hi! I noticed that there's a picture of Little Edie and Edith from Grey Gardens. Have you seen the Broadway musical? Oh, and did you know there's going to be a Grey Gardens movie in 2008?
38goingon29 says, Thanks ChiChi! I just ordered some Maven cosmetics because of a 20% holiday discount code. I purchased one of their lip glosses in a very sheer red (thanks to DD's advice), called Milan Rouge. I also have been dying to try their foundation since everyone reviewed it months ago! Thanks and take care, Jen
38goingon29 says, I loved your comment on being a "toddler with the red lipstick" so much. I can totally relate. Would it be okay to quote you on my blog? I will refer to you as ChiChi from Megsmakeup.com. Let me know...:) Jen
dan-i-licious says, Thanks chichi. Usually I don't mix them, whichever one is available usually. Like almond oil is for whenever I don't need such deep moisturization, but olive oil is very thick.
txtipster says, Thanks for the public service announcement. I've used the FF code 3 times so far. Yes I'm sick, sick, sick!!! I just turned on Grey Gardens and realized I've seen this before. Never realized this was the same movie you all were always talking about. I'm going to watch it again. i don't think I've seen the whole thing start to finish.
38goingon29 says, I just came across a book called, "Remembering Ruby: For Families Living Beyond the Loss of a Pet," and immediately thought of you and Pissy Twinkle. The author's name is Melissa Wells and she has a blog site that tells more about her book at: http://rememberruby.blogspot.com/. Hope this note finds you well, and just wanted to know I was thinking about you! Best, 38
chiquita says, hey there chichi...chiquita here. You know that lotion I mentioned to you that I love well I think I also mentioned it was part of a coalition called The Coalition for Safe Cosmetics, frankly I didnt know what that was it just sounded nice. Well today I decided to look into it and man was I taken aback at what I read on their site! Their mission is to work " to protect [our] health by calling for the elimination of chemicals used in the cosmetics industry linked to cancer, birth defects, and other health problems." They have so much on the website that will absolutely astonish you. I had no idea there were no regulations on the production of health and beauty products. Worst of all some of our favorite brands are not on the list of companies that have signed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics. I did see a few(and I really mean just a FEW) companies that popped out at me that I've heard mentioned here such as Suki's Naturals, Afterglow Cosmetics, The Body Shop, Burt's Bees, Dremu, and Juice Beauty who have all signed the compact. I was amazed though at how many other companies we all know and love are not on the list! I definitely think we should raise some kind of awareness about this amongst the ladies. Their website is safecosmetics.org if you want to check it out. I have compiled a list of all the companies that have signed that I can e-mail you or you can see the list on the website. From now on I'm going to try and stick to products made by companies involved in this coalition. I hope this can help. Thanks for hearing me out I know this was kind of a long one...
chiquita says, hi there..i was reading an older post on follique, stuff sounds super great but i was wondering where they sell them other than online..is there any store that carries it? in reading the posts i was a little aprehensive but in checking ou their website i saw they have one for sensitive skin...yippeee!!your help is greatly appreciated...have a good night:)
kryssanthe says, YAY! More ChiChi pics! I do agree that the Grey Gardens pics need to be up for a while and enjoyed :) The Edie's would have been proud.
