NAPOLEON PERDIS! MESMER-EYES MASCARA! WIN! W MAGAZINE JANE LARKWORTHY & NAPOLEON PAIR UP FOR FEB. 20TH EVENT!

Meg here! How do you build a better mousetrap? That's been an age old question. The more popular question? How do you build a better mascara?
When I first opened up the cult fave "Mesmer Eyes Mascara" from the genius that is Napoleon Perdis I was more than a little nervous. I was perplexed by the brush, it wasn't the usual bristle application that I was used to. I was a stiff wand, with one end completely flat. Hmm, it says its a "trip threat mascara that lengthens, adds volume and curl."
Ok, I'm game. The trick is to to keep applying the color while your lashes are still wet and to curl with the flat end of the wand.
I'm hooked and I know I've gotten this out to more than a few Megheads in their makeup packages. The wand does take a little bit of effort to get used to and you do have to spend a minute longer while applying compared to the usual types of wands but it is so worth it. If you get too much on the wand a little blot with a kleenex with bring you back to business. Once you learn the flat end handle trick you can cut out curling your lashes all together.
Its another Napoleon win but what else can you expect from this perfectionist? How about a fantastic beauty event February 20th? Napoleon and W Magazine's Beauty Director Jane Larkworthy are coming together for what is sure to be the beauty event of a lifetime. A master class, tips and trends from Jane Larkworthy herself and each attendee will get a gift from Napoleon himself!
How could this be even better? THe $75 enrollment fee can be used to spend on Napoleon Perdis products! What even better? WINNING 2 VIP Tickets to attend for FREE

I got this mascara in my package over the summer, and I really enjoyed using it! I agree that the wand was a little strange at first, but I quickly got used to it. I cleaned it off after I used it for three months, and the wand is now my lash comb for when my current mascara clumps. I was thrilled when I won a second tube through Meg's Facebook contest over the summer, but, sadly, I never received my prize. :-(
I haven't tried the mascara, but I am the first to admit that if I have to play around with it I will probably give up before I ever get it right. Nice master class for women who live in the LA area. I haven't tried any NP products though they are readily available at stores where I live. There are just so many options out there!
never tried this brand
never tried it! BUT good luck to the contestents ill keep myself out of this one since i am on the east coast!
I tried mine after recieving it in my rewards pkg. I can't seem to get the hang of it at all :( I get black everywhere!!! I'll have to keep on trying.

Looks pretty cool! Sounds sort of like the Urban Decay Skyscraper mascara I have - that I think I got in a Meg's package.
this mascara is amazing- a tip I learned is that if your mascara is about to go bad (2 months) and you still have some in the tube use a brush and the mascara can be used as a liquid liner! I love all my NP products- the glam set is amazing as is the ultimate color palate for cheeks.. it is genius!!!
I got this from Meg but have not tried it yet. Glad to get the tips!
I also got it from Meg, but have not tried it yet. I love the Ultimate Contour Paltette which I got from Meg as well and I love it!
i love mascaras! they do so much for the eyes! maybe i will give this a try after im done with my dior one.
I've tried Napoleon Perdis lipglosses and they are GLOSSY! I'm not sure I would try a mascara though, I like my drugstore Covergirl Lashblast too much.

I've never tried any Napoleon Perdis products, but in terms of mascara I feel is one of the products that you don't have to spend a lot of money on to get a great quality product. My favorite mascaras are all from the drugstore.
I have tried this mascara (thanks to you!) and I really like it, but you're right - it takes longer to apply. I save this for nights out vs mornings because I'd rather use a quicker product. For dramatic lashes though you can't beat the nice deep black color and the lengthening - it's great!

Never tried this brand.
Never tried this kind of mascara! Can't wait to go purchase some. Love mascara!
looks cool, I like the packaging. havent tried it
I got this in my package a while ago and I absolutely love it. I still use it today so it lasted me a long time! I would definitely buy it again. I have really short eyelashes and the brush really allowed the mascara to adhere to my lashes.
