ECOTOOLS! BAMBOO EYE SHADING BRUSH!

Stacy B here! I wish I had a cute lead in story to this post that linked my fabulous life with a great product all with clever anecdotes and witty comments that will keep you coming back for more.
I don't. It's been a fairly boring week.
Everyone is finally healthy (mostly) so you'd think we'd be getting good sleep, feeling better and living life to the fullest. Nope. Enter night terrors. My poor kid. And poor us. No one sleeps when your baby is screaming at the top of his lungs, thrashing around like someone is killing him and there's NOTHING you can do. Nothing. You aren't even supposed to pick them up, wake them up or anything. You just have to let it happen. Last night was 30 minutes between 12:15 am and 12:45 am. The night before was midnight to 12:25 am and I'm praying tonight doesn't happen. It's been 3 of the last 5 nights. Poor kid.
My only relief is that our doctor says that even though there's nothing we can do, we should be comforted by the fact that he doesn't remember anything when he wakes up. I know this is true because once he finally stopped screaming last night, he quietly sighed, opened his eyes, blew a giant raspberry at me, giggled, and rolled over to sleep the rest of the night peacefully. Thanks kid.
Ugh, I just want us all to sleep!
My creative juices are just not flowing this week so I'm going to jump right in. Buy a makeup brush from EcoTools. No, it will not cure night terrors, croup, sinus infections or world hunger but it's an awesome tool to get some makeup on those tired eyes and get you through the day looking good and feeling good about an environmentally friendly tool.
I used the Bamboo Eye Shading Brush this week and loved it. It was so soft, smooth and easy to use. I told a coworker about it and she said she bought these expensive brushes from Sephora and they were terrible. Stiff, didn't pick up the shadow and were too prickly to spread what little shadow was on the bristles evenly. She was so mad she wasted money on them. I just gushed about this brush, and I think I may have convinced her to buy one! And why not? It's only $4!
The whole line in cruelty free and made with resuable materials. The bamboo handle is light and easy to grip. I really like bamboo, I've been using it in my kitchen mostly, for cutting boards, cheese servers, etc. It's a great looking, good for you, easy to take care of wood. I was pretty excited to use it in my bathroom, too!
Poke around on their website, there's a ton of great products and lots of information about who they are, why they support the environment and their mission. I love it. Good for you, good for me and good for my looks! :) I mean, good for the earth. That should be first. Good for the earth, us and then looks. Superficial stuff goes last.
These products are inexpensive and even come in resuable zip top bags. Perfect for traveling and keeping them fresh. I've made this a permanent home in my tools basket for the earth-friendly, good-for-my-conscious reasons, and for the please-make-me-look-normal-after-a-bad-night-with-the-baby reasons. I have a few more products from this line and can't wait to try them out in the next few weeks.
Another winner in my book! Now, please, think good thoughts for me and the little guy! We need some sleep! What drugstore brushes have you tried and liked?

I don't have any drugstore brushes in my kit
I feel for you! My kids are older and half the time I have to wake THEM up now! I do own Sonia Kushak brushes and with the exception of the eyeshadow brush they are all barely average. I bought them as part of the Breast Cancer donation with purchase offer. I look at those brush sets packaged so nicely, but then I remember that they really aren't all that good. All of my other brushes are Smashbox, Sephora, etc. I haven't bought a new brush in ages, but I could really use a new blush brush. I will check out this line.
i have an ecotools brush that I LOVE
I have yet to try an Ecotools brush. I use the Elf Studio ones and love them, although I've never used a more expensive brush to know if they are better anyways. I'm not a pro at applying my makeup so I don't think expensive brushes are something I should spend money on. Bamboo products are great though. Target used to sell SOCKS made out of bamboo and they were amazing.

I heard great things about them- I use a mix of ipsy brushes (formally glam bag)- lancome and surprisingly the body shop has the most amazing brushes for the price-
I just got a new brush set super cheap on a Groupon or something. It came from China, but it's like 25 brushes and so far they are great. The thing I need to remember to do is to wash my brushes regularly, I always forget!
haha bamboo is SOO in right now :P
I've heard nothing but good things about these brushes!!

I have never used drug store brushes.
i LOVe eco tool brushes, i have a bunch of their eye ones, but love their face ones more, so soft!
who loves makeup? me me ME!
I use mostly Bobbi Brown: they are expensive but do the job and last for years
E.L.F. brushes from the studio line are usually great, I also like Fraulein 3 8 and The Body Shop. My favourite has to be the Sigma F80 though...
I love all the Eco tools brushes I have. Rightnow I am wanting the 22 brush set from Coastal Scents, do haven't tried their brushes yet.
i have been using ecotools brushes exclusively for the past couple of years, now. i LOVE the quality at ANY price, but these babies are downright cheap!! they also wash well and will last ages if you take proper care of them. i used to spend twice as much on a single brush from mac or sephora as i can now buy an entire set for from ecotools. buy them, you will not regret it.

I've just recieved some tokidoki eye makeup brushes for my birthday from my best friend, and so far it's been pretty good. I've never tried this brand before but it sounds great. I've been using the brushset by elf and I do not recommend it at all. I noticed such a difference when i switched to tokidoki. best of luck!
I always am on the look for cheap brushes(:
I love ecotools brushes... for Christmas my friend got me the travel eye brush set, and it's wonderful. I love the smaller sizes. I also have some of the larger ones that work great, and the eyeliner brush is perfect for either lining or smudging. These brushes don't shed, are so soft, and pick up and apply shadow like a dream.

I _almost_ bought a set of EcoTools brushes, but decided I did not really need them. Next time!
maybe ill try!
like to try this
I absolutely love my EcoTools brushes. They have not shed one single hair, nor have they splayed out. I think EcoTools is about as perfect as a brush can get.
i keep reading very positive reviews about ecotools...too bad I can't get them here!
I've never tried any of the Eco Tools brushes, but I'd really love to! The only drugstore brushes I really use are the Studio Brushes from ELF. I'm super impressed by their face brushes and use them on a daily basis.
Ive been looking to buy some eyeshadow brushes, youve pretty much've convince me to give these a good checkout.
I like the handle on it. I hope its soft
