MICHAEL TODD TRUE ORGANICS WILL LET YOU WIN ON YOUR POISON! $100 GIFT!
Want to be rewarded for having previous BAD BEHAVIOR?

Take the MICHAEL TODD challenge. Win $100 true organics gift certificate!
When Lewis Hendler, Chairman of MICHAEL TODD began seeking a healthier lifestyle, he began scrutinizing the labels on all his and his wife’s skin care products. Lewis was shocked to learn that many of today’s skin care products (even the shampoo he used for his labradors Sam and Harley) were mostly water (first ingredient) and actually contained harmful ingredients such as parabens, sulfates, artificial dyes and synthetic fragrances, even while calling themselves “natural” or “organic.”
Now you can educate yourself by taking the MICHAEL TODD challenge and putting your favorite skin care products under the magnifying glass to see if they are mostly water or contain unhealthy ingredients such as:
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Mineral oil
- Polyethylene glycol
- Propylene glycol
- Sodium or Ammonium Lauryl/ Laureth Sulfate
- Chlorine
- DEA - diethanolamine
- MEA - monoethanolamine: a class of chemicals known as alkanolamines
- TEA - triethanolamine
- FD&C dyes
- Artificial fragrances
- Imidazolidinyl urea
- DMDM Hydantoin
- Parabens -butyl, ethyl, methyl and propyl
- Aluminum
- Fluoride
- Talc
- Dioxins
- Pthalates
- Triclosan
For a chance to win a $100 true organicsgift certificate, take a moment and examine the labels of your favorite skin care products, and if you see an ingredient you don't recognize, look it up. You can use a dictionary or just Google it. You might have to take a chemistry course just to understand what you're reading!
Do whatever you need to do, but SEND US YOUR STORIES at: Michael Todd True Organics Facebook!
Every month, Lewis will pick a winner for the best label-sleuthing. Good luck!

Love this list! Thanks for posting it. I'm sad to say that probably a lot of what I use has bad things in it, well, maybe half of the things. I'll have to look into it. I do use natural deoderant, some of my makeup is natural, and I try to buy tings with natural-ish ingredients. BUT I'm not gonna lie -- probably have some of this in my stash as well...

interesting! But unlike most others I do not do facebook. Good luck to everyone that does!

I always look at the ingredent list of the products I use, ITS SCAREY! There are words on there that I can't even begin to pronounce let alone know what the heck they are...one of my BIG peeves is "triclosan", Ladies and Gentlemen do yourselves a BIG favor and stay far away from anything containing "triclosan", on a sad note...that stuff is everywhere! Be diligant, read the lables

It's really scary whenever you stop and think about what most products are made out of. I tend to ignore it, probably not smart, I know, but it's my solution hah
love the article...and the brand!

lovely read
That sounds great but I don't have Facebook. :(
Great idea, it's so important to know what you're putting on your body. I'm 95% natural now as far as my face and skin care goes so I don't have too many labels to check! With makeup I'm 50/50, but lean more towards Tarte and Urban Decay and I always try to go Cruelty Free.
