MICHAEL TODD TRUE ORGANIC! PUMPKIN NUTRIENT RICH- FACIAL MASK!

Meg here! It's Sunday, Sunday evening to be exact and I, like the rest of you, are preparing for our upcoming week. I have the laundry going, had Prudence outside on day trips and play dates and am now getting my ducks in order for the busy week ahead.
On Sundays, I don't just like to get my house in order, I like to get myself in order. It's the day I pull out the big guns. It's when I go into the arsenal and sort through the deep treatments. You know the ones that you're really going to commit to every single day.
On my hair, I am treating myself to a Leonor Greyl Masque Flueurs De Jasmin (review to follow Wednesday) But it is my night's skin care regimen I am going to be concentrating on for this piece.
I am extremely excited to tell you about a brand new company, Michael Todd True Organics I'm going to take you through this entire, amazing line. It has everybody talking about it right now. Really, Hollywood has been a buzzing. The Ellen Show had been alerted about this all natural, results oriented line and now it's what the show has for all of it's A-List guests in the Green Room. I mean, that makes sense. It is green and all.
The first thing I did was pull my har back and apply my Leonor Greyl Masque Flueurs De Jasmin to make sure my face was a clean canvass. After an afternoon outside I wanted to be sure I had zero grit, grime, sunscreen or excess makeup. Everything had to be completely off. My skin needed to be sand blasted, my pores were looking grim. My skin was looking dull. I was going for it. I was enlisting Megsroomie and she agreed. We were on a mission for fresh, glowing skin. We pulled out Michael Todd True Organic Pumpkin Nutrient Rich Facial Mask
Why was this my choice? The two main ingredients, Pumpkin and Glycolic Acid. Remember, we learned a few weeks back that Glycolic Acid is fruit sugar and natural. It's also strong and effective. A lot of the time it's stronger than the chemical ingredients on the market. The second season was the Pumpkin. Once, years back I had the most amazing Pumpkin facial. It was very effective. I could feel it really getting to work and forever I have been searching for a new mask that had pumpkins as it's main ingredient.
Why does Pumpkin work so well on your skin? It's chock full of antioxidants, minerals and loads of zinc. Antioxidants will eat away at your dead skin cells and the zinc soothes irritated skin. By combining tow of my top ingredients, I was a very eager guinea pig. I was sold on those, when I read the rest of what my Pumpkin Nutrient Mask contained, I was downright giddy! The list read like a who's who of All Star skin players. This was the big league! Over 100 essential vitamins, minerals, phytosterols, and fatty acids. All natural, all exfoliating and hydrating. I couldn't wait.
The first thing (as a package snob) I love how this dispenses. It's easy, you can control the amount and you don't have to keep sticking fingers in a jar or tub to get to the product. This is really great if you're not the only one using it. It is also air tight so it's going to keep and you don't have to worry about air getting in there and compromising the effectiveness.
I went first, the consistency was definitey smooth but orange and almost real? little pumpkin bits in there. At first, (remember this is the strong, heavy hitter) it had a sting. I could feel like glycolics eatig away at the dead cells clogging my pores. It didn't hurt but it was slightly uncomfortable for the first minute and then it quickly calmed down to where I didn't even know I had it on. Honestly.
"OMG, this smells delish! I feel like a walking pumpkin pie!" Megsroomie was applying the mask in our powder room. Then I heard "Wow! This is no joke. Did it sting you?" I assured her "yes, but only for a minute. You'll be fine!"
We spent the next fifteen minutes marinating in our pumpkin heaven and dreaming of our new, buff and fresh faces. The results?
Megsroomie and I were left with soft and fresh skin. I tell the truth, after the first minute the burn is non, so non that there is no tell tale redness after we washed. We just felt clean and our skin looked healthy. It didn't look or feel as though we had done a harsh treatment.
We were beyond happy with the results and I can't wait to dive into more of their products. If they work as well and smell as fabulous as their Pumpkin Nutrient-Rich Facial Mask then we're not surprised they have a home at The Ellen Show. I'm just glad they have a home in my ladiesroom!
This is a fabulous new entry into natural! Pumpkins are not just for Halloween, they're making it into my Sunday night rituals as a staple.
Tell me! What is your favorite fruit or veggie beauty ingredient? You are what you eat, so it makes sense to not just ingest these nutrients but topically let them do their work restoring balance and health to your outside as well.

Sounds fab, I love anything pumpkin and the sting means it's working!!
I have a broccoli smoothie every morning but I don't know that it has any effects on my skin!
I love peaches <3
This is not a bad price at all for an item that seems to be strong enough to be effective. While I personally don't mind a slight tingle or heating effect on a masque, I don't know that the experts would agree with you unless it is being done under the guidance of a professional (no the barista at Starbucks does not count). And those with sensitive skin might choose not to use this product at all. I would give it a try if I wasn't so very happy with Philosophy Two Step Microdelivery Peel System.

Pumpkins sound nice. I eat lots of greens and fruits every day. Not sure if they are doing anything for my skin (I don't have great skin), but I won't want to try going without them.
this sounds incredible! I am a HUGE fanof using fruits, veggies, and all manner of nourishing foods in my skincare. one of my all-time favorite masks is lush's oatifix with it's soothing oatmeal and healing honey...it's a must-have for dry winter skin. in the summer, their love lettuce is refreshing and exfoliating. my favorite fruits for skin are papaya enzymes and bananas. the former being a great brightener and the latter for soothing dryness and itch. I also adore anything with linseed mucilage, which is a protective gel that comes from flax seed. I will so be trying this pumpkin mask as soon as I can spare some money for a new product. i have never used pumpkin on my face and it sounds fabulous!

This was def one of my all time fav masks Meg has made me try. It smelled SO GOOD!! Yes it stung a bit at first, but almost a good sting...a sting like "it's working!!" sting. Then once the initial application was over and it really settled in, it was fine. After about fifteen minutes and after washing it off my face felt as smooth as butter! I highly recommend this one , especially if you're a pumpkin pie fan! YUM! :)
Pumpkin sounds good to me too. I did the green apple peel thingy yesterday and didn't really think it was all that dramatic. But I like doing major grooming stuff on Sunday's too.
Pumpkin is an awesome ingredient for facial use but my personal favorite is Coconut Oil. Claimed to be "the healthiest oil on earth" the Coconut Research Center is constantly finding new things that Coconut Oil does for people every day. It's amazing for skin use as it creates a protective layer over infections, killing any harmful bacteria while nourishing and moisturizing. It heals scars, retains moisture so any dry skin will become soft and beautiful, it helps clear acne and a wide, wide variety of other skin ailments and irritations. It even heals bruises, athlete's foot, eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, keratosis pilaris, sunburns, and even kills lice! All while making your skin absolutely radiant. :) I adore coconut oil, and I recently wrote a whole blog about its benefits. A pumpkin + coconut face scrub would be awesome!
My favourite is Olive Oil - You can cook with eat and you can use it as a moisturizer, as a hair mask, as a makeup remover etc...
I love peaches <3
fruits, cauliflower and brocolli! Steamed vegetables generally go down well with me. Zucchini grilled.

I love peaches.
I've been making green smoothies every day with stuff like spinach, kale, strawberries, bananas, cucumber, tomato, broccoli - pretty much anything healthy! They are making my skin super soft and give me energy. This mask sounds really great, and I love that it smells good too!
lover of beauty, sharer of opinions http://prettylightsbeauty.blogspot.com/
I have recently given up sugar and lots of white starches so I am eating many more veggies and some fruits. I feel so much better, how could it not be good for your skin too! I do love me some pumpkin :) This mask sounds really great!

I love anything with pomegranate oil.

Michael Todd generally has good packaging. I especially liked how the lipsticks were full sized but the tubes were half as long as other brands. Efficiency FTW! On the other hand, whoever chose that font and color scheme needs to be arrested.
I like a lot of the cucumber eye products. I don't know if cucumber is an actual ingredient in the product, but I do love the scent and the thought that cucumber helps with eye puffiness.
Haven't tried a vegetable/fruits based mask before! Sounds interesting!
I love tomatoes and cucumbers
i love guavas
This sounds lovely. Pumpkin! Who knew? Definitely want to give it a try!

sounds really cool, but I can't use it because my skin is so sensitive.
I am not a pumpkin fan. I do like a lot of vegetables and fruits. My favourite fruit that I get to consume often would probably be apple.
would love to try this!
I love DHC olive oil cleanser. It removes all the sunscreen+makeup in a jiffy. :)
i love face masks.
love organic products!!
I like herbs best, but I guess I do like pumpkin masks, so I'll go with pumpkin.
worth a try.. trying to only use organic products on my face now.. a study in Germany shows that 80% of what you put on your skin ends up in your vital organs..
so i just looked up the product, its $34 which is not bad at all!! i'm sold!
