COPY THE OSCAR LOOKS!
Meg here! It's Oscar time! Hollywood's prom. All of the women looked great and here is how you can get the exact same looks from the exact pro's that took these women to Goddess Glam!
Here is how to get Kristen’s textured waves:
“I was in love with Kristen's J. Mendel dress as soon as I saw it; I was so inspired by the silhouette and color. We wanted Kristen's hair to be full with voluminous waves and have an edgy and sexy texture"
- “I started by applying a large dollop of Dove Style+Care Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse and blow dried the hair with a round brush.
- I then took 3-inch sections of hair and sprayed each section with Dove Style+Care Thermal Replenishment Spray and then wrapped the hair around a 1 1/2 inch FHI Heat curling iron.
- When all of her hair had been curled, I took a small amount of Dove Style+Care Frizz-Free Shine Cream-Serum in my hands and rubbed them together and then I raked the product through the hair to break up the curls and give the hair shine and definition. I'm beyond obsessed with this product. It gives you the nourishment of a cream and the shine of a serum in one bottle!
- I finished her look by spraying Dove Style+Care Strength & Shine Extra Hold Hairspray all over while scrunching the hair with my fingers; this will ensure that the hair is in place all night and give the hair great sexy waves.”
Kristen's Makeup
Event: The Oscars
Makeup Artist: celebrity makeup artist Heba Thorisdottir for tarte
Date: 2/26/12
Overall Inspiration: "Kristen wore a gorgeous princess dress, but it still had a bit of an edge to it, so I wanted to keep her look strong but still soft and pretty." -celebrity makeup artist Heba Thorisdottir
Makeup-complexion
* To begin Heba used tarte's Amazonian clay 12-hour full coverage foundation with Broad Spectrum SPF 15, with tarte's new airbrush finish bamboo foundation brush.
Makeup-cheeks
For dewy, sun-kissed cheeks, she applied tarte's maracuja blush & glow brightening luminizer and cheek tint in sunlight along the apples of her cheeks, followed by a light dusting of tarte'sAmazonian clay 12-hour blush in buff. The combination gave Kristen's skin the perfect luminous finish.
Makeup-eyes
* Heba wanted to play up Kristen's blue eyes with a mixture of bronze and gold shadows. She started by covering her lids with a soft wash of shimmering golden peach from tarte's neutralEYES eye shadow palette volume II.
*To add further definition, she applied tarte's Amazonian clay waterproof cream eyeshadow in shimmering bronze along her lashlines and into her creases. Then she layered tarte's Amazonian clay waterproof cream eyeshadow in slate in the center of her lids to reflect light.
*Then she lined her eyes with multiplEYE™ clinically-proven lash enhancing liquid liner, drawing outward for a mini cat-eye.
* She finished with two coats of tarte's gifted Amazonian clay smart mascara.
Makeup-lips
* To keep her look soft, Heba filled in her lips with tarte's LipSurgence™ matte lip tint in exposed, then dabbed tarte's maracuja divine shine lip gloss in glisten in the center of her lips for a touch of shine.
Body
*To create a soft glow, Heba dusted tarte's new Amazon bronze body bronzer along her décolletage, shoulders and down her arms. (Note*out in April!)
Jessica Chastain's Look! Jenny Cho, Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist: "My inspiration for Jessica was to give the whole look a romantic feel that was free and easy with a slight, sexy bump in the crown."

1. Spray Suave Professionals Volumizing Root Boost Spray at roots of tresses and layer a dollop of Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Leave-in Conditioner for heat protection and smooth, manageable hair. Blow dry with a round brush for volume.
2. Starting from the nape, separate hair in sections. Spray each portion with Suave Professionals Touchable Finish Lightweight Hold Hairspray and curl with a large two-inch curling iron. When curling strands near the face, curl hair away from face.
3. Next, tease the crown of hair for height and spray with Suave Professionals Touchable Finish Lightweight Hold Hairspray to secure tresses. Smooth the very top layer of hair for a polished finish. Pull back the section of hair just below the crown and pin, bringing one side back at a time into a half way french twist.
4. Loosen up the curls with a drop of Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Smooth & Shine Serum for shine and smooth style. Complete the look by misting hairspray for hold.
Maya Rudolph's Look!
The best things about these looks are they're not going to break the bank! Who was your favorite winner? I know, I know, I know she's not an award nominee or even an actress but I loved my doppelganger Guiliana Rancic's gown in her redcarpet coverage! What dress do you have to have?

all of them look great
whenever I see hairstyles like these, I get inspired to curl mine....an hour or two later i'm throwing fits and cursing myself for even considering such a thing....sometimes I hate having thick hair.

I made my poor BF watch the red carpet with me, His aunt whos in hawaii right now, usually watches it with me! :( .. but everybody looked great! More imporantly i wonder if that thing with ryan seacrest && sacha was scripted! I know when he landed on Eminem at the MTV movie awards it was pre planed.. i guess we will have to wait and see! haha
Jessica looks gorgeous!

I love Guilianas makeup, red lips all the way!
I thought Emma Stone looked adorable!
I thought Giuliana looked great. She wore two different dresses and the second one was even prettier than the first. I liked Emma Stone's look and thought Angelina was drop dead gorgeous, but could have done without the stage pose. J Lo lacked class and enough material to cover her breasts. Funny that a number of years ago the Academy demanded she be filmed from the neck up because the top of her dress was very sheer (not the plunging Versace) and last night the camera stayed on that wayward nipple the entire time.
I missed the pre-awards carpet show but did see the main event. Most of the women onstage looked good. Emma Stone looked smashing!
i want to try the tarte foundation
I didn't get to watch... boo dh!I have enjoyed the highlights, though!

I love the Oscar's and similar shows! It's so fun looking at the styles! I've been looking at the Dove products for some time but just haven't tried them yet. Maybe I will now!
I love Kristen Wiig's dress. She looked fantastic. I also liked Rose Byrne's look.
Looking at their long, luscious locks makes me regret cutting mine off over the weekend!

Jessica is so sexy!
Jessica looks so gorgeous, and her dress is lovely! Thanks for these tips, I love that Kristen's makeup was all Tarte. If I was famous and going on the red carpet I would totally use Tarte too!
lover of beauty, sharer of opinions http://prettylightsbeauty.blogspot.com/
I like Kristen Wiig's dres but I didn't really like the color. I thought it was a little bland but when she was being interviewed, her friend had the most gorgeous royal blue dress. I would have loved it if I could combine Kristen Wiig's dress shape with her friend's royal blue color!
I always hope for the outrageous with the Oscars and have been rather disappointed in the last few years. Where'e Lady Gaga when you need her--or Cher--she used to look pretty wild. But beyond that, I was really impressed with Viola Davis. She wore her hair natural and it looked stunning with the gown she wore. A Bold, Beautiful Powerful presence --and statement.
They all looked beautiful.
I love love love the bump-in-the-crown hairdo but can never really accomplish it on my own so I'm thrilled to read step-by-step instructions here. Thanks MEG!! I love this site.
i love kristen wiig! shes beautiful <3
Kristen should never go blond again...she looks sooo good as a brunette. Her makeup was great too. I thought gwenyth paltrow hands down had the best dress. I love love loved the cape. So chic.
I find the Oscar dresses and makeups less spectacular than several years ago! Too bland, although some do stand out! Loved Jessica Chastain, she has the best style and smile and looks so approachable and happy to be there! Angelina is way too bony, don't like the pose at all and her legs weren't even sexy, too pale, too Morticia! Loved Meryl Streep's Dynasty-inpired dress, hey, it was her night!
I don't watch the Oscars but the women look pretty!
They look gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
Would love to try it!
love watchingn the red carpet to see and get inspired- put new twists on old favorites- always nice to have step by step instructions..
This is ridiculously, awesomely detailed. I ADORE Jessica Chastain's dress! Thank you.
I love how nice Kristen's hair looks. I have a short inverted bob though so there's no way I can get that look. Oh well. :)

You know, I have no idea who Maya Rudolph even is, but I love her dress- the color is beautiful! I like that all three of these ladies didn't overdo it with the makeup- I really like clean looks where you wear the makeup and the makeup doesn't wear you!
Love to know how to do it like the professionals!! Thanks!!!

Wow thanks for the great tips! I wish I had the dedication to do anything to my hair, but it always ends up either being down or up in a ponytail. This is great inspiration!

Such beautiful women. I love seeing what everyone wore, the best and the worst! And I always love to take note of the makeup too!

Great tips. The hair techniques still seem to be a bit too complicated for me. I'd like to try Kristen's makeup sometime. The Tarte foundation sounds good.
