RIMMEL! KATE MOSS FOR RIMMEL LIPSTICK COLLECTION!
Goddess Granny is out the door en route to cool temps and warm hearts but I snagged a little something last week I simply cannot leave without sharing with y'all because they're amazing! If you don't know who Kate Moss is, I seriously would be surprised as she's been one of THE most influential style and beauty icons of the past decade and beyond because of her quirky glamour and indisputable sensuality. The girl can make anything she wears or sells look HOT and that has been a seriously bankable asset to her! She is a bit of a bad girl in a good way and I'm a huge fan so when I heard that yet another mass-market brand of distinction, the UK based line "Rimmel" teamed up with their "face." Joined together to create some of THE most gorgeous and in my opinion BEST lipstick shades currently on the shelves, I of course, scrambled down to see what all the fuss was about…
These are NOT the typical greasy, smells like butter out at the picnic, non-performing lipsticks that line many shelves at the drugstore and supermarket: these are so close to the "couture" brands in both presentation and formula that I was shocked! A beautifully designed and hefty matte and shiny black tube embellished with Kate's own signature in red houses the five GORGEOUS shades worthy of her name designed by Miz Moss herself! The scent is divine and chic, not unlike "that" high-end designer lipstick brand that hovers at the $30.00 price point and the shades are fabulous! I was able to snatch the last #1 and #12 from the display, and the #1 has been on the lips and blogs of MANY top makeup artists lately because it's "that red…" you know,the one that EVERYONE looks perfect in???
The formula is designated as a "lasting finish" but these slip on with no dryness or pull and TONS of pigmented intensity! If I didn't have the drugstore bag on my vanity I seriously would have not been able to tell these from MUCH higher priced lipsticks and the lasting creamy- color-payoff was simply perfection! I will go as far as to say that #12, a pinky-coral-red may just be THE most PERFECT shade of red ever on a redhead! You know the one that Christina Hendricks wears to gala events and they say it's some name brand. When I go to find it, it looks nothing like the photo in the tube! It's probably a hybrid created by a color genius with a brush and like 17 tubes of color swiped on her lips?
For me#12 is that good, I look like I mean biz and with a pair of my favorite "Tres Noir Bombshell" sunnies on? I might just be mistaken at the airport for a famous naughty girl myself!
I highly suggest you track down these lipsticks asap as the buzz is OUT: they are absolutely incredible and there is a shade you're sure to love as I know some still aren't sure about red but trust me,it's sticking around for all of 2012! You can even try Kate's lipstick shades ON virtually here at the ever so fun and very trendy Rimmel website!
These lipsticks can be found at Ulta, Walgreens, Walmart, and at many of the well-known mass market drug and grocery stores so check in your area asap and don't miss out as I predict these will be gone in a flash! Lipstick screams of class and sophistication to me and Kate's done herself proud with this collection for Rimmel! I double dog dare you to try the #1 shade in the photo above and not feel just a bit more like you could seduce anyone! I know we've chatted about the "red" before and some love, others not so much: what shade makes YOU feel like you are the queen of your world?

I would love to try this but i never found the right red for me, and some look so bad on me i just cant pull it off.
No red, no way, not ever, not reconsidering, not not not! I really envy women who wear red and wear it confidently which is the ONLY way to do it. The only thing I would seduce with red lip would be a Neutrogena make-up remover cloth! I would try Rimmel because I love lip products. If I need to swipe and go I am heading for Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. If I have time, I will mix pink and pink/brown shades with lip gloss over. I am heading to Tarjay later and am going to look for the Rimmel lipsticks. I love GG's reviews and want to try this product she is loving.
I like brighter colors on me. Really pale colors don't work with my fair skin. I think they make me look dead. I don't do lipstick much though. I prefer the texture of the Tarte LipSurgence lip colors - they are bright but aren't opaque.
I not sure I could do red. It is a little too bright for me.
I like all colors but purple lip shades don't look good on me. I can get away with reds, pinks and corals - I prefer pinky peach but change my color often to go with my mood and clothing. This sounds nice, prefer gloss over lip stick though.

I can only pull off certain reds- blue based and not orange, and not too bright. I hardly ever wear it, though, because I feel like it is such a statement!!

I love the review, but like a lot of others I am also not a fan of red on me. I like my lips to look like my lips, and play with color on my eyes. But I'll definitely look for these at my local store.

"smells like butter out at a picnic" HAHAHA... that's so funny... I can't use a lipstick w/a strong smell... it's right under my nose, it'll drive me nuts. (altho lipglosses w/scents dont bother me so much go figure). I haven't tried rimmel lipsticks (i tried a shadow ages ago and wasnt impressed). I can't seem to find the right lipstick now that I've been a gloss girl for so long.... this might be a brand to try. Thanks.
It's like you guys read my mind and figure out exactly which products I've been wondering about! I definitely love the look of the tube and have been considering this. Reds are very tricky for me-- we'll just have to see if #01 really is for everybody! I love lipsticks with a delicate scent-- I just bought some Sonia Kashuk lipstick in Nectar from Target, and I LOVE it. It's sheer, delicate, and smells ever so faintly of vanilla-laced chocolate!!! It's AMAZING!
I absolutely love red lipsticks, now to find the perfect shade! I like the idea of a drugstore brand being backed by a celebrity. I will definitely check this out! I prefer statement eyes, lips are something that I am still working on to get that powerful feeling!

That lipstick is getting so much attention! I love RED to death, can pull of cherry reds, coral reds, deep reds, but the one that really makes me feel great is a brick red, easy to wear, sultry yet simple! I just need mascara and bronzer with that and I feel glam!
You go, girl! ... True red is too stark on me (super fair redhead). I prefer plum-reds, brownish-reds and medium pinks. Some nudes -- not too light -- also work on me.
I went to look at these and Walgreens and thought 08 was so pretty, I almost bought it, but I am also coveting UD's Naked lipstick right now so weighing my options :) Thanks for the review, these are seriously beautiful shades in person. They didn't have the nude in stock so I am going to try to track that down next.

Ive never tried red...I always go for berry pinks or pinky-nude colors, but I've had dreams of finding the perfect red!
I love love love red lips, and I think I can carry off brown-ish reds best. But! I would love a sheer dark red lipgloss. Victoria's Secret used to make one that I loved but it was discontinued and I've never found a replacement. That was a really easy way to wear red lips.
I'm going to have to scope these out. They sound great. Like a lot of the other ladies, I just cant do a red lip. I think I look fairly ridiculous with red lips. I envy those who can rock them.

I look horrible in red lipstick. I do really like Rimmel though. I have two of their pink shades in the purple tubes and they are nice. They smell weird (cheap) though.

I am not a fan of red. I prefer lighter lip colours and the current shades for this range seem to be too strong for me.
