L'OREAL! COLOR RICHE LE GLOSS!
Stacy B here! As women, we have a tendency to be jealous and wary of other women. Some say it's a double standard in the way we have been raised, always the lesser gender and therefore in competition with each other, some say it's from media pressure to always look perfect and some even say it's because we've been told we can have it all and if we don't, we hate that girl that does.
No matter what the reason, it's stupid. We should try hard to keep jealousy at bay and not only celebrate our best features, but appreciate the positives in others. We all have good things in us and we should be happy with that. I know I've said this before but this site is really great for positive feedback and I see a lot of support for each other, even in our differences. On a slight side note, thanks to everyone who's said such nice things to me in the last few weeks when I went through the whole car accident, bad cop, traveling husband, sick toddler and general pregnancy woes. It definitely made me feel better!
Now, after all my sunshine and rainbows I have to tell you...I'm jealous of women who can pull of red lipstick. It's so glamorous and beautiful and pulled together and is an instant confidence boost. I just can't do it and I've tried so many times. Something about my skin tone just doesn't mesh with red. But good for you if you can! I won't be negative about it, I'll just admire you from afar.
I tried L'Oreal Color Riche Le Gloss in Red Ravishing and was crushed to realize that it was just another great product in a color that made me feel like I will never be a screen siren sex goddess with a perfect red pout.
The good news is that I will not be mad if you take this product and stop traffic, I'll just focus on something I like about myself, like my blue eyes, or my clear skin.
It's a good gloss, very low on the sticky scale, tinted enough to give you some color without looking too thick or matte, and smells great but isn't overly flavored. It hasn't been too drying as of yet and I don't need to reapply that often. It offers some nice shine and would be great as a standalone or a layering product (which I love!) Lucky for me, there are about 15 different colors and I am determined to find one for me. Especially for only about $8.

I don't think I have a go-to brand for gloss but I like ones that are light, and less sticky. E.L.F. has decent glosses.
Shh, don't tell my 83 step program for lip product purchase abuse that I am out here in the hall writing about lip gloss. it will set me back YEARS. I do not use any L'Oreal lip products, but I do like the occasional drug store "quicky" so it's good to know that this isn't gloppy (my first fear) or sticky. Right now my go to lip product is the Clinique chubby stick which I have just about used down to nothing! I top it with a Smashbox lip gloss. My go to lip glosses are Smashbox and Bobbie Brown. They may not be the longest lasting, but I like the colors and the way they feel. I am also working my way through Maybelline Baby Lips which does not last as long as I would like, but it doesn't dry and has SPF and is a cinch to reapply.
I like lots of different drug store glosses, including L'Oreal. And I'm with you on the red... I like the idea of it, but it just never seems to work for me.
I am definitely one of those who has a hard time with red lips!! I totally hear you, Stacy-- it's just a classic look that I adore but I have such difficulty pulling it off. My skin tone is funky-- it's no darker than the average American mixed-caucasian skin, but it's sort of olive-y and so warm that it makes true red look magenta. (Ew.) I tried and tried until I found my solution-- I just had to compensate for the weird effect my skin had. I need to go for colors that don't look at all appealing in the tube, but look SEXY once they're on! For me, that's a very warm, slightly desaturated red-- like a brick hue. It looks true red on me. It's very bizarre. Play around until you find a red that works for you! It IS out there!!
I've tried some L'oreal glosses, my favourite drug store brand is probably Revlon!
I don't have very many glosses and I don't own any L'Oreal. I do have a few random ones... bbw, Maybelline, NYC. The MAC ones were just way too sticky.

I don't really like lip glosses. They are okay and I only have a Couple of them.
I love glosses and have tons, so I've put myself on a freeze the last few months. The last new ones I got were the Napoleon Perdis ones Meg talked about and actually for $21 for 5 of them (on sale) they were even less expensive than drugstore! I am not allowing myself to buy a new gloss until I finish and throw away 3, so I'm working on that and then maybe I will try these :) Thanks for the review! Oh, and you're not alone in your red lip problem - I can't pull it off either! Even if it's the perfect shade for my skin tone I just think my smile looks really strange with such a bold lip. I can get away with a sheer red gloss sometimes though.
lover of beauty, sharer of opinions http://prettylightsbeauty.blogspot.com/
My drugstore go-to's are Milani's eyeliner pencils and Maybelline's One by One mascara. I do like how lipglosses look but they tend to wear off super quick on me. :(
I actually bought one of these last night in Blushing Berry. I like the color. It's not super pigmented or sticky, but it's definitely glossy. I don't think they last very long though, wear time wise.I completely understand about the red lips thing. I can't tell you how many tubes of lip stick and gloss in various shades of red I've given to my mom and grandma. They both pretty much ONLY wear red lips and I look horrendous with them. Go figure.
i love these lip glosses! my sister got one and the color is SO pretty. theyre a bit expensive, like the first commenter, ELF has good lipglosses too
Looks lovely! Haven't worn lipgloss in a while, actually, but I like Burt's Bees lip glosses a lot! You can find them at most drugstores...
i have this gloss in the color baby blossom which is a pretty soft nudish color i simply adore it :)
<3
I have a tonne of LGs and unless there's something special to this, don't think I'd be getting 1.

i could swim in all the gloss i own, so on a serious no- buy, unless of course it is something a little bit different, or realllly awesome at plumping
who loves makeup? me me ME!
18 shades? I think there's def. a shade for me too! I've been loving my Juice Beauty Reflective Gloss right now but I'm always on the lookup for more.. :) As long as the gloss isn't super gooey and sticky I'm good!

I have L'oreal HIP lipglosses and they are fantastic.
I don't have a go to drugstore brand for gloss, but most of the drugstore makeup I buy generally is Physicians Formula.
Avon Glazewear glosses are good! And they're on sale several times a year, often for $2.99. Can't beat that. (OK, it's not a drugstore, but you can order online.)
i hate glosses that taste bad... not that i eat my lips or anthing BUT it is on my mouth! sometimes you cant help it! haha
my favorite mascara is a drugstore brand. other than that, most of my makeup are now from indie brands.
I've only started wearing lip gloss in my mid to late 30s (I'm 39 now). I'm always a fan of lipstick over lip gloss but as a working mom who has to get two kids ready for school in the morning, i don't have that type of time to use something that requires so much precision. Right now, I'm in love with Jordana's EasyShine Gloss. It's a pigmented gloss that goes on like a lipstick.
You're super awesome!
http://kiki072895.tripod.com/blog
http://brooklynshoebabe.tumblr.com
I have this gloss in Red Ravishing and I really like it. You can add a little for a light pink/red tint or glob it on for a more intense red color. And you can't beat the price.
I have a lot of glosses , I love gloss, but on me it's hard to find a coulour that suits me.I don't use one brand for gloss.I love Napoleon and ELF.
i wish i could pull of red lipstick ..
ive never tried, but i would love to!
This lipgloss looks gorgeous! L'Oréal is a bit too pricey for a drugstore brand though, I prefer other brands.
I'm a lover of lip gloss and love the red lip look!
Gracie
I love NYX and Milani and Catrice as drugstore brands
This looks interesting... I don't really like reds. I think pinks are a lot prettier and understated. I prefer the subtle va-va-voom than the in-your-face bombshell red.

I quite like Maybelline and L'oreal. Wet n Wild is on its way up too!
L'oreal is definitely my drugstore go-to brand! Can never go wrong with L'oreal mascaras
Glad things are looking brighter for you. I havent tried the gloss yet, but Im really happy to know it's not very sticky because I hate sticky gloss!
I usually don't buy drugstore lip glosses, so I can't see myself getting this, but it sounds nice. I prefer to have more natural products in something that I feel like I probably end up eating a lot of :)
Would love to try it!
The packaging sure looks pretty neat! Wish there were a better shade range though. Oh well, you can't have it all huh!
I love Wet n Wild for cheap eyeshadows that pack a punch, especially with primer. Revlon is a great all-around brand for quality drugstore makeup, although it is often priced at a premium to most other drugstore brands.
xoxo
a woman can not have enough lip products!!! This might be my next splurge for my sister who is a gloss girl ;)
My go-to drugstore brand is Revlon.
http://www.rubysbeauty.com
nothing like a good gloss.
Must...not...have...another...lipgloss...in...my...collection. My favorite glosses really are the Nap Perdis lip veils. There are no drugstore comparisons I've found. That stuff feels amazing on the lips!
My Blog: http://rubysrigmarole.blogspot.com/
I have some items from L'Oreal, Maybelline and Revlon. My go-to drugstore brand is probably Rimmel. I actually prefer to try out items from indie brands now - the prices are affordable and there is a wide variety.
This lipgloss looks perfect
Women that can wear red lipstick... More power to you! As for my go to products I would have to say maybelline, and elf:)
I like L oreal, Elf, Maybeline
the description on these glosses sound awesome...thanx for the review
Having such reactive skin, I can't really use drugstore brands, but I am loyal to CG when I'm able to buy something.
Loreal and Maybelline! (:
gorgeous!
