KENET MD! PH POLISHER!
I'm telling you, she is making me crazy!!! Our Meg that is: one day she's in NYC and the next she's in flippin' LIMA, Peru? Seriously,Goddess Granny is having a heck of a time trying to keep my finger on the pulse of this girl's travels! I think it's fabulous and exciting, and that in my opinion, there is NO better way to learn, grow and be "taught" than to travel! MOST preferable outside our own country! I can't wait to hear her stories and you know she'll be getting the juicy on all things beautiful on the other side of the world!
I myself am at home writing and listening to Etta James: if you don't know who she is, please do yourself a favor and give her a listen because it doesn't get much better than her voice! "I want a Sunday kind of love…a love to last past Saturday night…" I think we all do but some of those "Saturday night "loves" can be fun too
What I love about Sunday's is that they're like a "get out of jail" free card way to start the week for many of us! We tend to do more of what we enjoy and less of the stuff we have to do! For me, Sundays always end with my "everyday love", a big bowl of popcorn and a movie or some great cable TV! I also love to take the time to do some maintenance: heavy-duty hair conditioner, body scrubs with dry brushing, baths with so many products propped around the edge of the tub that I must look like an ad for "plastic bottles…" It's not easy being glam but if you DO certain things on a regular daily, weekly or even monthly basis! You find that things tend to last longer and stay sweeter than if you simply go into combat-attack mode in your beauty routines!
I do have a great long-time Derma-Doc locally and without him, I'd be a mess…seriously. There is nothing you can hide from those magnifying mirrors! Even if you have perfect skin, it's always a great idea to visit one every so often to insure that it stays that way! I don't think there's anything that changes faster (besides Meg's zip code) than our skin! I would LOVE to visit our friend Dr. Kenet's office in NYC because as Meg and I both have mentioned before,he's responsible for keeping some of the most gorgeous faces in the world camera-ready at all times! I am literally in LOVE with his "24K Gold Serum" NOT because of the luxury price tag, but because it's absolutely the best under makeup,skin-perfector and soother I've ever tried! The good Dr. has literally managed to capture the essence of glowing, illuminated skin in a simple bottle and I am forever grateful…
Dr. Kenet's brilliantly edited line of products give you exactly what you "need" for beautiful skin and my second-favorite product in his line is well within anyone's budget! Kenet MD "pH Polisher" is an absolutely gorgeous skin "buffer" that's intended to be used on Sunday as part of his weekly- routine. It's included in the skincare kits recently described by Meg but it's also available as a single product. Presented in a clean plastic bottle with a flip lid (and I truly appreciate that the high- quality really IS inside the packaging with Dr. Kenet's products) this "polisher" is like no other exfoliator I've used! Instead of little bits of "rough stuff" that grind away at the surface of your skin, pH Polisher is formulated with a non-irritating and non-cloggng BEESWAX blend and when you apply to damp skin, it gently "buffs" rather than grinds at your pretty-pores! I adore the light scent of honey and almond and I don't know how it does such an incredible job of smoothing the skin without being invasive in the slightest but it DOES! After rinsing off the light foam, you'll be left with glowing and gorgeous skin you can see the difference in immediately!
This is the gentlest but most effective "exfoliator" I've ever used and because it's safe for all skin types, even my sensitive, it's truly a must have for your Sunday routine as well! It paves the way for a beautiful week of skin ahead because it does a great job of treating your skin like the precious covering it is! My derma-Doc recently mentioned to me that he's seeing a "new sort" of skin ailment in women who are over-zealous with makeup brushes (please clean them often!) and harsh scrubbing products that create tiny 'tears" in the skin that bacteria can get into and wreck havoc! God knows we don't need to cause damage to ourselves with our environment today so if there was a single product I feel "targets" the way we all SHOULD be cleansing our skin on a weekly basic to remove dead cells and clean it completely,it would be Dr. Kenet's amazing "pH Polisher!!!"
Your pores and your derma-Doc will love you for treating your best asset with care and the respect it deserves…it maintains your "PH" and gets rid of the sins of a week of grime and pollution while you bask in the lovely scent and delightfull results! Almost too easy…~!
Buy it here and yes,the price really IS great for such a fabulous and distinctive product!
I am in awe of Dr. Kenet's line of products so far and they have opened my eyes to the "less really IS more" philosophy of clinical skin care! When the products and ingredients are created by the best in the biz (Dr. Barney J. Kenet),you just can't go wrong! I think its great to be able to have access to the same phenomenal level of skin care as the celebrities!
Have you tried any of Dr. Kenet's products and don't you agree that if your skin looks amazing, the rest of what you put on it will be as well? Invest in your skin first and take care of it…you will be rewarded everyday!

I'm not much of a face polisher/exfoliator but this seems interesting. Thanks.
I have a new, developing, growing love for exfoliating, polishing, peeling, smoothing, etc. So this sounds great for me. Especially since you say it's kinda gentle. Often dematologists' products truly are the best. You can just feel them when you put them on your skin! Love it!
My Blog: http://rubysrigmarole.blogspot.com/
I do like exfoliating my face. I really like Boscia Black Mask and Philosophy Microdelivery Peel. I also use my Clarisonic at least once a day (usually in the evening) and it leaves my skin feeling so clean. The Kenet product does seem like something I would like. And I like the price, but there is a little voice in my head that says it is so much lower in price than the other products that I think this is a very small container. If a little goes a long way or product freshness is an issue, then it makes sense.
Yeah, the amount of this product is not even listed on the Kenet website. *shaking my head* ... And the pic makes the bottle look tiny. Ingredients are nothing special despite the marketing spin ("proprietary beeswax blend"?? c'mon, people!). So, I will pass on this.
I think I'll stick to my Farm Ascetics chamomile and powdered milk scrub for now.
I never feel like I can see results when the scrub is too gentle. I have one from YSL that is gentle. My skin is soft after I use it, but it doesn't feel or look exfoliated. I have never tried any Dr Kenet products.
I did see this on the website when Meg plugged his skincare line, and I was blown away by the price! Fifteen dollars, on par with other products that are fifty? However, when I treat my skin particularly well (oh, who am I kidding; it does what it wants to when it wants to) and it's soft and glowing, I feel kind of guilty covering it up. I hate to clog my freshly-cleared pores with makeup, and yet if my skin isn't freshly cleaned, it feels rough and gross under my foundation. So basically the bottom line is that I don't wear foundation very often. If I could find a primer that makes me POSITIVE the makeup I'm putting on over it doesn't clog my pores, my life would be complete.
I agree with ds, the polishers I've tried don't really seem like they're doing much. I currently use St. Ive's apricot scrub a few times a week and love it.
thanks for the review. I'm still on the fence on whether an exfoliator is necessary for my skincare routine.
Looks interesting and the price is ok.
I agree that skin is important but Dr. K.'s stuff seems a bit pricey. But I guess if it works it's worth it... I'm just not sure.
I'm an exfoliating fool! Scrubs, AHA toners, brushes, you name it, I do it on a daily basis! I don't really see anything changing on my skin though. I think it's time to get serious and start getting peels.
i LOVE exfoliating my skin. i use a glycolic cleanser and a micro scrub regularly, it really makes a difference in the texture and appearance of my skin, which is absolutely aging despite looking so well while it's doing that. this is something i'm sure i'd love. i like to rotate different products, i think your skin gets used to the same routine, it's good to change it up every so often. this i'd definitely give a try.
I have yet to try Dr Kenet products, but I totally agree that when your skin looks good it makes everything else look so much better. Makeup goes on smoother and just looks nicer.
Meg, thanks for the review. I have found a Facial Scrub called Derma E Very Clear Cleansing Scrub awesome!
I absolutely agree with taking good care of your skin. I think it should always be #1 when it comes to taking care of how you look. I've been working a lot harder in the past year or so at really cleansing well, moisturizing well, etc., and it's paying off. I feel I have to wear a lot less makeup if my skin is healthy.

I would love to try this!!
who loves makeup? me me ME!
I have never heard of or tried their products before. But I always notice dramatic differences when i sleep well, eat well, exercise and use night cream! always wake up plump :)

I have not tried any of his products, but they sure sound great! I like scrubs but am more of an AHA user.

not had the pleasure to try out this line before- I use the daily scrub from giovanni and before that the daily microfoliant from dermalogica.. need to take it easy on my skin or it is easy for me to go overboard..
I also never exfoliate, but it sounds like it's been helpful for a lot of you!
i am an exfoliating fool too. i don't overdo it, but i have, um, at least 5 different exfoliating products right now that i rotate. i am curious with this product--is it a physical exfoliator or chemical? i think i heard somewhere that honey is a gentle chemical exfoliant...but i could be making that up. thanks also for mentioning damage that can come from makeup brushes. i am sad to hear that...i think i'm going to move away from so much "buffing" with my kabuki brush and try more "stippling" with a fiber optic or sponge. and clean my brushes more often :P
I would love to try his products!!!

My face is going crazy right now, this sounds amazing! I want to have a nice treat for my face and pores, plus glowing skin! :D
I love exfoliating, and Meg sent me one to try and I keep it in the shower. It's very gentle so I don't feel bad using it every day or every other. Then I have a great all natural scrub from Natural Bliss that is a bit heavier and I use that once a week or so. It helps keep my pores clear!

Never tried this line and not sure I am interested in doing so.
interesting review!

I have not had much luck with polishers. It does sound nice though.
Haven't tried it but I'm always looking for a good exfoliator.
Great review! Haven't tried it just yet. I will keep you posted when I do. Sounds pretty interesting.

this sounds cool! :)
i love my weekly exfoliation. It feel like I am starting new and all th dead yuck is gone
I'd like to try this!
I like some scrubs, but the beeswax in this would burn/blister my skin. :(

I have been exfoliating a lot lately. I rotate several that I've picked up as freebies, in value kits, and on sale. I think it's been helping. I'll be curious to see how my makeup goes on today because it has been looking a little flakey on my nose and forehead. Last night I did the Juice Beauty moisturizing mask and the used an exfoliator in the shower. We'll see. With having so many products around right now, I won't be trying this one any time soon. Thanks for the info about makeup brushes. I've heard it before, but I'm going to try and remember to be gentler when buffing on my foundation now.
seems interesting...:)
I don't care to add another step to any skin care ritual, but I *may* try the polish thing.
I've never tried these products, but they look interesting! I personally think that good skin is unremarkable but bad skin is truly overwhelming, which is my incentive to keep my skin in good shape!
xoxo
Interesting...
I have never tried any of those products but skincare is important. I invest in skincare and sometimes not all high end products work but there are some that do. Skincare is trial and error. You have to test several to find the perfect one that works. Having perfectly clear skin does make a difference. It makes me feel better about how my makeup and skin look.
I've never heard of this brand before.
http://kookith.wordpress.com/
Definitely agree. I find that I can use less product and just focus on a few features when my skin condition is good.
Nope, never heard before this
i've never heard of this before, either....and i'm generally scared of exfoliators. most irritate my sensitive skin, which leads to breakouts...this one sounds interesting. if I ever see it around, i'll have to sample it. I would LOVE to find one that doesn't disagree with my skin.

I've alsonever really seen face buffers around, thouht the concept is intriguing. I think I'd probably start off with scrubs and peel off masks before going to this step :)
I like a good body scrub, but the skin on my face hates manual exfolliation. It freaks out seriously. I'm better off with acids on the face, scrubs on the body.
Looks interesting :)
