ARGAN OIL? WHAT IS IT AND WHAT DO TOP CELEB DERMATOLOGISTS SAY ABOUT IT? 20% OFF!
Meg here! There are a few perks to being me. One of the perks is I get to find out what's going to be big in cosmetics before the public does. Then I find out and turn around and blog about it bringing it too...The public.
I was first introduced to Argan oil (we love working with them and endorsing their argain oil) by Zakias Morocco. I didn't exactly know what "Argan Oil" was but I knew that we all went crazy for it. It made everything from my combination oil/dry skin to my combination oily/damaged hair just look better. It also made the skin on my body incredibly soft. I'm starting to see "Argan Oil" in just about anything and everything today. I called up a few of my favorite cosmetic dermtologist's to see what they thought. Would they recommend Argan Oil?
Dr. Simon Ourian, Epione Medical Center, Beverly Hills CA. Yes, absolutely. Argan oil is chocked full of vitamins and it is a wonderful moisturizer not just for your face but also for your hair, cuticles and entire body. It is extremely beneficial to apply after exfoliating. I find it excellent for all skin types.
Dr. Barney Kenet, Kenet MD, Manhattan, NY. l like Argan oil. It's safe, pleasant and loaded with Vitamins. I've seen some people say it works on acne, but I would be reluctant to recommend it solely as an acne treatment because it may cause people with oily skin to break out.
O.K. So we know it is full of vitamins but what is Argan Oil? Where does it come from? Argan oil is an oil produced from the kernels of the argan tree, endemic Argan oil remains one of the rarest oils in the world due the small and very specific growing areas. to Morocco, that is valued for its nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties.
Taylor Swift and Salma Hayek have gone on record that they're huge Argan Oil fans. With all of these new Argan oils flooding the market why do we at Megsmakeup.com love Zakias Moroccan Argan Oil?
We love them because the women that harvest the Argan Oil, the Berber woman of Morocco, do it all by hand and in small groups. They painstakingly manually grind the Argan nuts into a paste and then extract the oil. Zakias does not use machines yet employs and empowers this group of women with jobs that they take great pride in. The results from the Zakias Moroccan Products have been touted by so many of our users.
As the weather warms up you can put your thick moisturizer's away go with a light oil that wont clog your pores. It seems right into the skin and you can feel the vitamins start to go to work right away. It's gret that it is a 3-in-1. Argan Oil is the holy trifecta-Hair-Face-Body!
If you're intrigued there are lots of interesting Argan benefits all over the web! I can just speak to the research that the women did on here. They loved the results!

Ah yes, the beloved Argan oil!! What isn't it good for? I've been using here lately to try to get a cyst to go away, I think it is working!!Thanks so much for the 20% code, that always helps!!Love the stuff~
Wow I have been wanting to try Argan Oil since ages from the time I saw Tiffany from youtube blog about it mentioning it works miracles for her hair !!
I am not using Zakia's Argan Oil (please, please don't hurt me), but I am using Josie Maran's Argon Oil on my face when I am just too tired to do the serum, cream, eye, neck thing and I love the way it feels. It is shocking that it doesn't feel oily. A little in my hair (and I do mean a LITTLE) makes it shiny and swingy, but doesn't attract dirt. I have heard people using it to treat all sorts of skin and hair issues and I think that if you see results, stay with it. And thanks for the coupon Meg. you take good care of us.
Wow, I went straight to their website & was all set to buy some but.......$30.75 postage to Australia?! You've got to be kidding. Very disappointing.
I need to look into giving argan oil a try. If/when I do, I'll probably start with a Josie Maran kit from Sephora so I can get several products and a sample size of argan oil just in case it doesn't work out for me.
I've never tried argan oil, fancy eh! i want to though, but i want to find one without silicones.
who loves makeup? me me ME!
Did you notice the zakia's website 'dandy'? "No PEGs, No Mineral Oils, No Silicon, No Parabens"good to go I say!the postage IS spendy!

I don't know much about argan oil, but I've heard there's nothing special about this brand, or any other brand for that matter. Argan oil is argan oil - and you can find much better prices from other dealers.
looking forward to trying this oil out soon.. I am becoming a fan of oils, they seem to work wonderes and don't clog everything up..no wonder ladies in the ancient time had flawless skin..
I have yet to try argan oil and really should try to keep an eye out for it.
I am using Argan Oil from Shea Terra Organics. If you subscribe to their newsletter, you will get a 30% off coupon every month. Great product, great company that supports small cooperatives in Africa and really good prices.
I've just got into using oils on my face, hair, body. I never thought I could use oils since I'm oily, but I really do like it!
I am also a new user of oils for my skin but haven't tried Argan, as I heard it can cause breakouts sometimes. First I tried coconut oil and that did break me out as it was too heavy. Now I use Organic Passion Fruit (Maracuja) oil that I first heard about from Tarte, a sample came with a set I got from QVC. I liked it a lot but was disappointed with the price - about $46 for 1.7 oz.! As much as I love Tarte products this seemed like a big price gouge since the only ingredient is organic passion fruit oil - how can that be different from one brand to another?? I found it through Natural Bliss for only $12.50 for 2 oz and love it - I use it every night and it keeps my skin hydrated, smooth, evens skin tone, and can even reduce wrinkles. I am also using a great serum from Natural Bliss that is a mix of healthy oils and essential oils during the day and I love that too. From now on I am going with all natural skin care, so I'm happy I found NB - it's completely changed my skin in just a few short weeks. Anyway, I have tried the Zakias Argan Oil shampoo and it's great - it makes my hair healthy, shiny, soft and manageable. I would def buy that again!

I bought the argan oil for my mom and her undereye area, she likes it. :-)

I have not tried it yet
yewww!! 20% off!!! i cant' wait to check it out, i'm dying to try the infamous argan oil!

I do like it, too! Have been using the Morrocan Oil ( and the Rusk) for hair for awhile; it's ok, BUT I adore the Argan Oil for face and body by another line, and it's supposed to be more potent if mixed with Rose Hip Oil! Great stuff
I've used argan oil on my hair for a long time, and I love the benefits. I've used stuff from Sally's and pure argan oil, and I actually like both. It's like a moisturizer for your hair! I feel like my hair's much healthier and shiny since I started using argan. I won't use straight argan on my face because I am acne prone, and argan does clog pores.

I have the argan oil and I like to use it on my hair and cuticles, but being oily I won't use it on my face. Plus the smell is just so.... salady, I guess it the best description, that I won't use it all over my body, it's just too overwhelming.
I've never gotten into using oils as moisturizer. Seems like it would be too greasy but as I get older my skin seems to be more dry than it used to. Maybe this is the ticket to help lock in the moisture my skin is missing.
Normally I'm your drug store go-to and make it my mission to stay beautiful for less than $10 a product but sometimes I splurge. (Everyone needs a little treat now and then, right??) I splurged on some Argan Oil from Kahina Giving Beauty and I LOVE it. It's really amazing. It perks your skin up visibly within minutes of putting it on. It's smooth, not oily, doesn't clog your pores, moisturizes all day and you barely have to use a drop. It's really great stuff and worth the extra money. it's also a great primer because it smooths out your skin and softens wrinkles. We get small quarterly bonuses at work and twice a year, I take some of that bonus money and get some Argan Oil. It's worth it!
I've never tried Argan Oil before but am very interested. Thanks for the discount code.
I have been hearing so much about this lately. I haven't tried it (yet) but I love almost everything I hear. A product that's great on my hair and skin...awesome!!! Thank you for the coupon code. I think I may just have to take advantage of it, which is awesome for me and helps support a great company! Gotta love it.

Not that much a fan but my mother swears by it!
I still need to get some Argan oil!!!!

I love argan oil. It's done wonders for my dry skin!
Have yet to try, hear all sorts of reasons to try it. This is a great artlice outlineing them
I don't use Argan oil but everwhere I turn I hear raves about it. It sounds like something I need to try!
I only ever use my argan oil on my hair as a serum.. I need to start using it for other things! Makes me nervous to try it on my oily skin though, so maybe I'll just try the other things!
Love your review. Have you used any of their other products? I was looking at the black soap and the exfoliator and wasn't sure which one to get in addition to the oil.
I've been wanting to try argan oil for my hair but haven't got the chance to do that...
...need to get some more! I have used Zakia's Argon Oil (and LOVE the black soap treatment although it is a cleansing process for your skin and not a true "soap") and it's simply amazing in every way! This company is such a delight, the owners are brilliant and caring, and their products are truly among the best of the best and they WERE the FIRST to introduce this mracle oil in spite of the fact that many are now producing products that contain it :)I've discovered a couple of "unusual" uses for it: I have some micro clip hair extensions that I change from red to blonde to whatever depending ont he mood (thanks to a great colorist!) and as many may know, the ends of human hair extensions get DRY! They are connected but don't produce oils and Zakia's is really great for keeping the ends smooth and pretty,I just use a iny bit on my fingers and smooth only the strands that aren't "mine" :)ALSO,I am a Zumba-holic and BEAT my poor tootsies to death, seriously they hurt, puff up,and are just plain sore a lot...I soak them and then apply my oil to them after warming it just a bit (I use a cotton towel and soak with oil then heat in microwave:) and really rub it in well...cotton socks and voila! In the am,my feet hurt MUCH less, redness and puffiness is gone and no need for pricey pedi's that include "callus removal" because I have NONE....genius oil all the way around!
sounds like a great company giving females a great oppertunity to earn thier own money and provide for thier families- lessning the need to stay in abusive situations for the "money"
oh that sucks that the postage to australia is so high :(
I have been hearing about Argan oil on and off, maybe I should just junk those inhibitions and just try one of these products.
Wow everybody's putting argan oil in everything aren't they? Have never tried it but have been wanting to.
wow argan oil sounds really amazing... with all the reviews too. thanks for the 20% off!
xoxo
I haven't tried anything with argan oil in it, but I've heard some very good things!
I have not given Argan oil a solid trial, but I have tried a dab. It is light, not greasy, doesn't absorb all the way instantly (at least it didn't on me) and it leaves a pretty sheen on the skin. I applaud Zakias for their non-exploitative business practices.
I LOVE argan oil... although it's a bit much for my whole face tho, i use it on my scalp (psoriasis) my hair, under my eyes, on my eyebrows and lashes (at night) on my chest.... i mix it w/body lotion in the winter... it's amazing! i havent tried Zakias brand, i have an organic brand that i found at my healthfood store... but i really think more people should integrate this into their routine!
I have used argan oil as a facial serum both alone and in a mix and I enjoy using it.
I've never tried argan oil, but I've heard so many great things about it. I really need to pick it up already, lol.
I've been using argan oil for some time now too and definitely believe in its benefits. I've used it on my face, my hair and elbows :) Thanks for sharing Meg!!
http://igknowidea.blogspot.com :)
I think this is the first time I have heard of it, but I have been looking to add a couple of drops of oil to my night cream, just to make it more moisturizing. Can I do that with this product?
you can add it to your cream in your hand... but i use it when my skin is damp, and then use my regular cream after to sort of seal it in, if you know what i mean. but before, after, during... i dont think it really matters. you'll definitely feel a difference no matter which way you use it.
I have never tried this brand of argan oil. I wouldn't mind trying it.I use other brands on my face and hair. For my face I use Josie Maran and for my hair I use Laveve argan oil... it smells wonderful and makes my hair shiny and smelling great. If you like the smell of victoria secrets amber romance - you'll love the smell of this.

Thanks so much for the code! I've been wanting to try some Argan Oil, I've hear so much good things<3
I've been using Argan Oil for about 2 yrs. that stuff is awesome! I use it on my face and hands religiously. My fingernails have never been stronger or longer then since I started dabbing a little argan oil on the nail bed. Igot rid of all the different tubes and jars of face creams and now I only use argan oil...and sun-block =)I highly recommend argan oil for facial moisturizing
