LASHEM! DOUBLE TROUBLE MASCARA!
Meg here! Babylove is out with a terrible tummy bug! Babies are cute but they'll kill you. Take lots of Vitamin C BL. Today I want to discuss options. No, not stock options! If you were looking for my girl crush Susie Ormand then you're on the wrong blog. Although, I think Miss Money would approve of this next item. I have to state that I am totally loving this and begged the company for a few more tubes of this Lashem Double Trouble Mascara. Even our resident reviewers have not gotten this because I didn't want to wait and have you miss the 20% off deal for February they have going on over there. The good news is I have Double Trouble on the way and although the concept is brilliant, it is simple, it gives OPTIONS.
Greater then the "tastes great" "less filling" debate from history, the real argument seems to be "lengthen" or "volumize" our lashes. What caught my eye about Lashem Double Trouble was this gem "Want a volumizing mascara without sacrificing length? With Lashem Double Trouble mascara you don't have to choose! This sleek, dual sided tube has both options that are especially brilliant when worn together!"
Hold the phone. Could this sleek, silver tube of wonder do that? I mean, if that's the case then we have a whole new problem. After a lot of our mascara reviews we ask questions like "Ladies, which would you rather have? Volume or Length? What the heck are we going to ask now if this mascara provides both?"
Lashem's Double Trouble even has fibers inside that click to your lashes so they appear "thicker". It has these flexible cotton fibers and it stays so well to your lashes. I did not have one clump. I did not smear! I did not cry! (I wear contact lenses so you know, out of irritation I've been known to turn on the waterworks.) Turns out that this stuff is water-resistant so guess what? Home free again.
I really love the way you have both options and I've been playing around with mine and here's the recipe that I think produces the best results for me.
Apply fiber LENGTHENING mascara BEFORE you add VOLUMIZING. That's just my suggestion, but whatever works for you, because, you know...Options.
I'm intrigued by this company and I am dying to get my hands on their 3 in 1 Eye Bright, I'm pretty determined so look for it soon. I got a few tubes to give to some of my girlfriends so they could report immediately what they found since I don't want you to miss out on the sale. The sale price brings this mascara down to practically a drugstore one. Lashem also is doing a bunch of give-aways and coupon codes on their facebook page so go get your "like" on. The deal is only for February and last time I checked February was the shortest month so no time to waste.
I'm meeting a longtime girlfriend for dinner tonight and will be bringing her a tube of Lashem Double Trouble Mascara. I'm wondering if they're going to go as GaGa (as in, the lady herself) as I am for it.
UPDATE! I went to the dinner and I met Martin Genis from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He is charming and fabulous and I am stoked for our next meeting!
He commented on my eyes, we have a date set for next week! Lashem may have reeled him in?! That's all I had on!
What do you ladies think?
Do me a favor and follow Martin on twitter so we make sure he behaves!
Meg and Martin? Amazing Lashem Mascara? Should I or Not? HELLO CHIME ME PLEASE!!

I've actually never had the trouble of having to choose between length and volume, the reason being that my lashes are already the length I like them at. Any longer, and they start hitting my glasses which is not a nice thing! So, give me some dark volume, that does not clump nor smudge and I'm a happy camper. It is the smudging that always gets to me, since I have rather sensitive eyes and live in a climate that is so cold that it makes your waters run (and then freeze). So, if this truly does not smudge...I'll hold onto it for dear life.
This mascara has my name all over it. I have curly lashes, they are fairly long, but I would love more length as well as volume. I want the lashes that my son has. Apparently I have the genetics. I think I have voted for BOTh in every mascara review. I love doing up my eyes and I am clearing out a space in my already overstocked makeup arsenal for this.
I've wanted to try a mascara with fibers. It's nice to know this one doesn't end up in your eyeballs.
sounds interesting.. I would rather it give volume and curl.. my lashes are pretty long already but very straight and I would be more inclined to use mascara more often if it gave me some curl rahter than to have to curl apply repeat..
This sounds cool! As it is I just apple d.j.v. Fiberwig for length and then quickly layer something like Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes on top for volume. It works but sometimes I get clumpy :s
Sounds great, but $20 for mascara?!? I think not.
ooh.... right up my alley... but, I just had lasik, and I'm a bit confused by this message: "if you have had LASIK surgery or if you use artificial tear drops for dry eyes, as a precaution, we advise you to consult with your ophthalmologist before using LASHEM™." Wonder if it applies to the mascara as well?
I have tried fiberized mascaras before, I really do not like them, so I think I would pass on this one. There are other mascaras with different formulations that volumize and lengthen, such as Buxom lash, while still looking great.
Sounds really interesting and if the sale price makes it around drugstore pricing, I'm all over it. I have been really loving trying new mascaras the last few months - my faves are UD Skyscraper, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes! and Benefit BADgal lash. I think I'll try this after my UD runs out!

It's hard for me to find a mascara that I like. I have long lashes, but I feel like they are thin...they also clump easily. I tried one of those mascaras once where you put the first coat on (it's usually white) and then follow that with the real mascara and it looked HORRIFIC on me. Maybe I wasn't letting the first layer dry enough or something, but either way, I'm a skeptic when it comes to "double layer" mascara. This one I actually really like. Mainly because I don't feel like I'm wearing mascara...it's not hard, it's not flaking, I can touch my eyelashes and they feel like eyelashes.... This mascara looks very natural...I like the two brushes used for application -really helps to avoid clumps...I'll have to see how it washes off and how long it lasts during the day (I'm a notorious re-applier) but all in all I do like this product - totally worth a try ladies!!!
I’m the very lucky long time friend of Meg’s and I love her to death!
When Meg gave me the Lashem Double Trouble Mascara I was intrigued. She knows I’m a true blue user of Blinc’s mascara and it would take a miracle for me to use something else. Well after trying Lashem this morning I’m beginning to think that a miracle is happening. First I love the option of having 2 different types of mascara to choose from. The side that lengthens will be great for me when I want more of a nature look. It gave my lashes just the right amount of coverage and there was no clumping (that one thing about Blinc, it clumps and it’s hard to separate the lashes once the tubes have dried). I’m thinking to myself, so far so good, I flipped the mascara to the other side to get the volume going. Ekkk there are fibers, but wait these fibers are my friend! The volume that I have now is fantastic, my lashes look really thick and the fibers are not an issue at all. No flaking off into my eye, the mascara stays on and again no clumping happened. This was when I thought if there’s going to be clumping now would be the time. Nope I’m clump free.
I’ve check my eye’s throughout the day to see if the mascara had traveled under them and there are no raccoon eye’s for this girl. So I can confirm that it’s got staying power. One of the comments on the Lashem’s website says that that Lashem Double Trouble Mascara “stimulates eyelash growth”. I’m thrilled about this. I have long lashes already but would love to have thicker ones. So bring them on Lashem, you’ve got yourselves a very happy convert.
With the discount that’s being offered to us Megheads the mascara does equal the price of the drugstore brands, but think about it you’re getting 2 mascara’s for the price of one. Now I call that a great deal! I’m off to order another tube so I can take advantage of the discount.
Now about Martin, I’m sure Meg’s lovely long and thick eyelashes were part of the reason he was drawn to our table, but how could he have not been interested when our Meg is so lovely to look at and is a blast to be with. And by the way, he is even more handsome in person than he is on the show. Have fun Meggie, I’m so thrilled for you
I've been using lash boost serum by L'oreal, and within a week I've noticed results! My eyelashes don't fall out as much and now it looks like they have gotten fuller! I'm all about eye lashes so I want to give this a go.
I'm always up for something new to glam up my eyes. I've never been brand loyal to any mascara because I haven't found one yet that I just love. This is a little more than I would usually spend but sounds interesting and I think worth a try, especially with the discount.
I am a BIG fan of Maybelline mascara in the pink tube and it takes a lot for me to switch over from it. Although this mascara didn't clump, I was not a fan of the wand and I wasn't wowed but the end result. I also didn't like how there was the mascara and then volumizing end, I just want to swipe it over my eyes once and get going. I don't think this was great enough for me to switch.
funny how I never got into wearing mascara everyday.. it is more of a night out type thing.. lipstick, eyelinerm eyeshadow ect.. is a diffrent story :)
my mascara is getting older and starting to clump, and this stuff sounds like a good replacement.
ive been experimenting with mascara lately and have maybe 6 open-oops. I really love the max factor 2000 calorie one, but also the korres ones are nice.
who loves makeup? me me ME!
I am not particularly brand-loyal to mascara either - I like anything that gives me long lush lashes! Right now that's CoverGirl, but I've liked Lancome and Loreal in the past. I have a tube of UD Skyscraper that's next to be tried.
This sounds good, but isn't a product I'm in need of. I have long thick lashes, and a lot of them. I tend to wear mascara mainly because some of my lashes are white or have white tips, and to help hold the curl. Though, recently I got hold of fiberwig, which makes me look like I'm wearing false lashes.
wow lucky you. lol if you could reel in Martin to fall for your eyes, then I guess this must be some mascara to try :)
Great review! Sounds like a good mascara! But I'm too faithful to my DiorShow!

I WANT THIS! I always find myself having to choose length over volume, because of my monolids. Would love both!

Sounds Great, really have to try it ! :)
This sounds good and it's a good review.
Sounds great! I am always on the hunt for mascara that lengthens AND thickens.

I love a good mascara! I actually am happy with my lashes- they have enough volume and curl and thickness, I guess they're just on the lighter side so I mostly just wear mascara for the color. I'm still really picky about what ones I'll keep for regular use, but I still love trying new ones.
OK, this mascara sounds absolutely AMAZING! I want it bad!
this product sounds... WOW!I hope you'll have a great date meg ;)

This is a great concept. One of the people I swatch on youtube raves about using two Buxom mascaras (one for length and one for volume) at the same time. This way you only have to buy one tube instead of two. Definitely a money saver. I have a small mascara stash right now, so I don't have use for any more, but I'll have to keep this in mind next time I need to shop for one.
I am definitely one that wants length and volume. I have tried mascaras with fibers in them before and I like them (except when they flake and fall on my cheeks).
This sounds like the mascara for me! I've never tried a mascara with fibers.
I was told to try falsies by I think cover girl.. like I said I am not too much of a mascara for everyday makeup type of gal... my lashes are too thick and long but too straight up and down and it ends up being a sticky gooey heavy mess.. I do love it though when I take the effort to curl put on mascara repeat for special occasions.. makes my eyes pop!!
i might order!
Oh, I want this! My lashes on the left side seems shorter than on the right, and I also have very thin lashes. This sounds perfect!

I dream about the perfect mascara as much as I dream about THE perfect foundation and THE perfect highlighter. I have beautiful eyes, I and would like to have the "falsies" effect naturally.Should I get this a chance?
I've never heard of Lashem before. I'd love to hear reviews on this mascara.
Now I just need something to curl my lashes as well. Unfortunately curlers don't even work for me.
This sounds like an interesting mascara, definitely worth a try!

Sounds like a winner to me! I'll have to give it a try. Thanks! ♥

Are the mascaras which enhance your natural lashes safe? When I see all the precautions (lasik eyes, light eyes, contacts) it makes me nervous. Has anyone had any problems with these?
Sounds like something I really need to try. I have short stubby eyelashes.
I'm always disappointed with mascara's - I seem to have tried them all! Going to have to give this one a go!
I wear Benefit BADgal lash, which make my lashes fierce. But, I would love a sample of this product to try.
Sounds promising! It's always nice to get compliments!
