TRESEMME WATERLESS FOAM SHAMPOO! FIRST PRODUCT OF ITS KIND ON THE MARKET!
I have been hopping all around the country like a maniac for the past 6 weeks or so, some "work" and some fun but this Goddess Granny is certain of ONE thing: it's getting harder and requires more patience every trip in order to navigate the shark-infested airline/TSA waters as you attempt to reach your final destination... oh... you actually expect to GET there when you buy a ticket? Silly rabbit! And your baggage? Naw... you don't need that stuff, we'll do you a favor and REALLY test your shopping skills in a BIG way and require you to replace your extensive shoe and makeup wardrobe on OUR piddly standard replacement budget, HAHAHA! Do these people have any earthly idea how much products cost?
The thing about it all though is that I still love to travel and love the fact that every frustrating flight and bumpy touch-down holds infinite possibilities for fun and adventure even if it's not all roses along the way, you end up someplace else and I for one think that's rather fabulous indeed! I had a LOT of time recently while sitting in airports waiting for wayward planes to show up to catch up on my magazine reading which I love to do but seldom sit still long enough to enjoy at home. There is a publication out there for any/all interests but of course, I am drawn to those "slicky-back" magazines that feature gorgeous girls on the covers and promise to be FULL of info and pictures to inspire and annoy my sense of style. My carry-on was actually twice as heavy at one point but hey, it's THEIR fault for making me sit so damn long and buy so many mags, right?
I soaked in all the fashions, caught up on the gossip, figured out who had "surgery" and who needed it, and got the facts and opinions on what the HOT products are for just about everyone out there whether they know it or not! Seriously... it's either an addiction or insanity and I'm not gonna' take a lot of time sorting it out: just know that I currently have in my lil' redhead such a wealth of "product knowledge" that Jeopardy should be calling ME for answers, HA!
I kept catching little blurbs from various "experts" and "stylists" in several publications about an entirely new and genius product and although I will honestly say that the line is not one I WAS familiar with, let me tell you, I have seen the light and it's in a lime-green and black container! Apparently the ambitious and renowned folks at "TRESemme" have been hard at work and listening to their customers which in and of itself impresses me: the current trend and crop of "dry shampoos" on the market do work for the most part but alas, can leave hair dull and/or scented like that neglected geranium plant in my kitchen, a bit mossy and sort of dank you could say? I also saw the Kate Moss pic that proclaimed she had "turned white overnight!" which was only a case of too zealous a sprinkling with dry shampoo... her hairline was indeed white however and didn't add to her look IMO.
I read about this product, "TRESemme Waterless Foam Shampoo" once, twice, and then several more times mostly in little blurbs tucked into the pages of all the glitz and glam but it captured my attention enough for me to go on a hunt for it and a HUNT is was: the first three store-shelves were bare of it with only a descriptive card to prove it had been there at all... finally located a container of it in a drugstore in Upstate NY and discovered what all the BUZZ is about: the stuff is flippin' amazing and WELL worth the hunt! It's one product in their new "Fresh Start" line but it's like no other "dry" shampoo I have ever tried. Because I work out a lot and have highly color processed hair, a dry shampoo saves my butt some days when there are errands to run or a tight schedule ahead. It's formulated with witch hazel to absorb oil and impurities, citrus extracts which leave hair smelling and feeling fresh, and aloe vera which actually conditions your hair when you can't hit the shower right away! Mostly chem-free and the FIRST product of its kind on the market and the natural "cleanser" is derived from coconuts so what's not to like?
You pump this waterless foam 2-3 times into your hand and apply to the roots then distribute it evenly through your hair. Wait one minute and then use a towel to gently pat hair, totally drying it in the process and leaving it fresh and nice! They have other products including a refreshing mist if you really want to give it a spritz of sweetness but honestly, I find that it does SUCH an amazing job of really making my hair look and feel so shiny clean that nothing else is needed. It leaves your hair soft, smelling wonderful, and really feeling like you can run out the door and feel good about the results! No water needed, nothing but a dry towel and this remarkable and effective product. Buh-bye powder head and no more looking like Marie Antoinette without a cupcake! If my hair has any "white" (ya' think?) in it no one will ever see it now!
The website has more cool info on this truly innovative product as well as on the entire "Fresh Start" line.
I am going to guess that you might have to make more than one stop to find this "drugstore dream" of a product as it is flying off the shelves from all accounts and beauty editor musings but I highly suggest that if you, like me, travel a lot or just need something you can count on to freshen up your hair without an hour-process of washing, drying, and styling that you RUN to grab some and give it a try! Nothing like it out there that I have seen and I'm telling everyone I know about it so you'd best be fast! This company sets the bar high for their products and I have since discovered that MANY celebrated stylists rely on their products as some of "the best" and truly high-quality at reasonable prices, available to all as well as a product for all and every type of hair and styling need.
You can get it here for $5.00 or check out your local supermarket, mass-retailer, drugstore shelves.
I hate yucky hair, airplane hair, or workout hair that I just can't clean right away so this is a MUST HAVE for me.
Do you ladies also love a product that will get ya' by until you can wash and wear your usual way?

How did I miss this post. First of all my sister and I were talking about dry shampoo about three months ago and how I could not find a good one. Second, one of the girls at work was telling me about this amazing new product she heard of hello you have been under my nose. Great info and I am glad it works. Now the hunt is on!
oooo... I want to try this!
The product does sound very interesting. I have short hair so it doesn't really take me long to wash and dry it but sometimes it could be convenient to have sth like this when in a hurry or far away from a shower. I'll keep my eyes open to see if I could find it over here. Thanks for the review!
This looks so handy! No wonder it's disappearing.
I use dry shampoo quite often, going to have to try this, its sounds great and i love Tresemme :0)
I would love to get my hands on this!
Wow, tresemme products always are satisfying and smell great. im excited for this one
I like the Tresemme line, it's decent. Me and my mother were acually just talking about dry shampoo and I was saying what a hassle it would be to work with a powder, and since this foams there wouldn't be a mess! This product sounds like it's good quality and it's great for people who are extremely busy and are on the go. Like I usually am!

i have never tryed a dry shampoo just because i have very thick long curly hair... but theres always a first time for every thing, ill let you know if it works for me or not
I need to get this pronto!
I have a couple of cheap dry shampoos I've used. They do absorb oil well, but I don't like the feeling they give my hair. I've read a lot of rave reviews about this, and just bought it today! Can't wait to try it out.
Oh my gosh! I'm also super excited about this product. I wonder when it will come to Australia (I might have to order online!). I am constantly battling with greasy hair, ew! At the moment I manage to wash my hair every second day. Anything beyond this and its not fit for public viewing.I dont really rate Treseme shampoo and Conditioner, but this looks great!!
As a student, I am intimate acquaintances with the bleary-eyed, dry-mouthed and most of all greasy-haired all-nighter. When I've sat up till 5 a.m. crunching a paper, sometimes the choice comes between a shower and half an hour of sleep. So naturally, when this product came on the shelves, I went out and snapped it up. I'm Asian and I have straight, thick, black hair, so I went with the Dry Shampoo, as recommended. I followed the instructions, spraying 8-12 inches away from my hair, and waited for it to work its miracle... but I have to say, I was disappointed.
The product smells divine, but it dulled the natural shine of my hair down into a horrible, powdery mess. Worst of all, none of the stringiness and limpness that I associate with second-day hair went away. I tried using more, but it just left me with stiff hair and what looked like a badly controlled case of dandruff. They recommend that "if a shinier texture is desired, use the refreshing mist," but that wouldn't take away the greasiness. Maybe I'll try the waterless foam shampoo? That seems to be working out better for people, and it wouldn't make my hair so disgusting. This is certainly a product I need, and I would go to great lengths to make it work for me. Any suggestions?
Hi Hachi!I usually lift sections of my hair up and spray the dry shampoo underneath - and then when all the sections are done, I get a hair-drier (cool setting) and really work the product in using a paddle (or other wide-ish) brush to really work the product in! Also, all that lifting of the roots will leave you with great volume! Hope this helps!

Oh my goodness, that worked so much better! Thank you, Trixie!
OMG. I've never tried this but it sounds like it's right up my alley!Sounds good for on the go, when sometimes you don't even have time to breathe.
given that this waterless shampoo adds some moisture to the hair, it might be worth trying on my curls - other dry shampoos are not good as my hair is left frizzy - but this one might do the trick. I'm suspicious about how chem-free it wil really be, but it could be good for every now and then or camping trips.
I wash my hair daily so there is no "need" for me to really use a dry shampoo. I do however use it sometimes before I go out to freshen up my locks and make it more "rougher" and manageable if i decide to do a big backcombed style. It's great for that knid of thing! I do usually however, use Batiste. I'm a sucker for retro packaging and as it fulfils all my dry shampoo needs (and has a gorgeous tropical, coconut smell!), I do not think I will be navigating away from it unless they discontinue the line... which I hope they don't!

If you use it for a backcombed style, doesn't it dull your hair?
Love this stuff!
I don't know how this would work on my curly hair. I don't feel a pressing need to try it.
Interesting product, not sure I'd actually use it though.
this deson't make sense
i love dry shampoo i definetly need to try this !!!

i have been waiting for something like this! My roots get very oily and this sounds like something that can be a lifesaver for the look of my hair, and I can actually afford it!
Great review! I really enjoyed reading this and learning about the product. I try to extend days between washing as sometimes I just don't have time. I'll be checking this product out next time I'm at the drug store!
Wow can't wait to try this :D
i think im gonna try this.sounds like a really good product
Oo neato! i would love to try
lovely article! i enjoyed reading it:)
I have tried other showerless shampoos before and did not like the result on my brown hair... it make it look like someone sprinkled baby powder all over and turned my hair grayish. This would be great on blondes though!
Never used a Dry Shampoo before it always seems rather strange to do, i would rather just wash my hair, But sometimes you just cant be bothered. Maybe this is the 1 ive been waiting for? Thanks for shareing x

i need this stuff!
I haven't tried any but I've heard good things about shampoo powders. Unfortunately my hair tends to get oily if i go too long without washing it so I tend to just use regular shampoo anyway.

i didn't hear good things about the tresemme line of dry shampoos. i'll stick to klorane.
this sounds awesome. the powders are sooo not good for really long dark hair, maybe this will be better. plus, the powders smell like crap.
I blow dry/straighten my hair and, in order to avoid some work and some hair damage, I only wash it every other day. The biggest problem with this is my hair gets very greasy at the roots and looks horrible on the second day. I was shopping in my local Walmart and I saw Tresemme's dry shampoo spray. I practically lunged on the thing and ran in a full out sprint to the checkout isle so I could bring it home with me. The first time I used it, I over-sprayed it and ended up with a lot of white. It took quite a while to brush out. Now that i've figured it out, I love this spray! It makes my hair look fresh every day. I just saw the add for the dry shampoo foam and found it at my local Target. I haven't used it yet but I am sure it will be just as wonderful!

I just asked my Mom if she could stop buy and get some on her way home from work! I love it
I have this and i love this.
thanks for the article
waterless? how does that work?
This sounds like a really cool, convenient product. I don't feel the need to go out and purchase it though because I wash my hair every night (even though I know I shouldn't), so I never feel that pressing need of, "Oh my gosh, I need to wash my hair but don't have time!"
wow this thing sounds amazing! but so weird lol im curious
I tried the spray dry shampoo from this brand and HATED it, but I'm always willing to give a brand a second chance. So, perhaps, I'll go out and buy this and try it out! Hope it works better than the regular ol' spray!!
I'm so glad I pick up this product the other day, its so convenient for me becase my hair does get GREASY within 2 days so I dont want to constantly be washing my hair and stripping the natural oils. I use this usually after hitting the gym or when I dont have time to wash my hair.
I have this product and I'm not that big of a fan. Although the traditional white powder and weird feeling of regular dry shampoos is annoying, I feel like those work better. I have naturally curly hair that I straight-iron. Because I do use my iron so much, I don't wash my hair everyday so I rely on dry-shampoo to ward of greasiness so I'm not constantly washing and ironing. Although I like the scent and concept of the Tresemme waterless foam dry shampoo, it just doesn't work for my needs. I know it's waterless, but that doesn't mean there isn't liquid. And the liquid causes my hair to curl once I apply the foam. And because I only use it on my roots, my hair then becomes two different textures and it looks off. Maybe it would work better on my hair when it's curly.
