EMINENCE ORGANICS!
Sweetassgal here! .very excited to bring you a review of a product line that has been a month in coming due to research and extensive testing at the Institute of Beauty here in Roseville, California (otherwise known as my master bath). White lab coat replaced with my favorite robe and a sampling of skin care goodies spread before me in little mini-petri dish looking containers set the stage for an experience that was an education in advanced organics while simultaneously maintaining a luxurious spa-like quality.
Eminence Organic Skin Care was introduced to me by a friend who shares similar skin woes as mine including redness and oily skin breakouts. Her sister very generously treated her to a day of beauty at Sierra Cosmetic Laser Spa in Truckee, California (an absolutely darling town if you're ever visiting the Sierra's) where they carry the Eminence Organic line. She soon became a devotee of the brands natural benefits and decided I HAD to review it. An ample selection of the cleanser, facial masque, moisturizer and body lotion was gifted to me and started my quest to learn more about these fascinating products. Eminence Organics was founded in Hungary over 40 years ago and maintains a commitment to all natural organic and environmentally friendly practices that include sustainable farming and 100% solar and wind power energy. All of their products are manual labor farmed, hand made and packaged in recycled materials using European certified premium quality herbs, fruits, and flower buds, and are proudly free of Parabens, Mineral Oils, Petroleum and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.
Checking online I soon discovered that Eminence Organics has a vast selection of products to address any and all skin care needs. I was happy to try out products that specifically tackled my rosacea and oil proned skin with the use of calming and soothing rose petals, rose oil, lemon juice and Biocomplex™: an antioxidant booster of Vitamins A, Ester-C, E, Coenzyme Q10, Alpha Lipoic Acid. With each application I found less is more as the ingredients are effective and product waste is minimal.
Sweet Red Rose Cleanser - This creamy and sweet smelling cleanser (the scent is not Nana's lotion kind of rosey) glides over your skin and cleanses with very little product necessary. Emulsify the cleanser with a little water and massage into the skin removing with a soft warm cloth. My skin was soft, supple and clean without any harsh ingredients to irritate red skin.
Pear & Poppy Seed Microderm Polisher - Pair this with the cleanser twice a week and your skin is truly polished and revitalized. The seeds give an effective but gentle scrub to the skin without over stimulating. This is important when your skin is prone to redness and can be easily "angered".
Rosehip and Maize Exfoliating Masque - This product looked a little strange at first but being all natural and organic it just needed a little stirring to blend the ingredients back together. Just five minutes on the skin layered very thin and covered with a wet cotton cloth gives your skin plenty of time to soak in the Salicylic Acid, lemon juice and Zinc Oxide that smoothes and protects the skin. Skin is toned and prepped for absorption of additional products.
Drum roll please......Rosehip Whip Moisturizer - This stuff is BRILLIANT and I am absolutely in love with it! The scent is completely yummy. Sort of a very, very light citrusey/sweet smell that I fear I could actually eat if it's a particularly bad diet day. The moisturizer has been whipped into light and airy perfection. Just glide your finger across the top and pat gently around your face. It is instantly absorbed without a trace of heaviness or grease left behind. My skin feels lightly refreshed, mattified and moisturized and oil production is noticeably reduced. I'm typically a T-zone oil slick by 10:00 a.m. but not when I use this. Rosehip contains Vitamin C to brighten, tone, and tighten the skin. Lemon Juice tones and tightens the pores, reducing excess oil. Pectin nourishes and moisturizes the skin. Together it just works and I wish I could afford to buy samples for all of my oily skinned friends to try! It is sheer brilliance and I could not recommend it any more highly. It's a permanent beauty staple in my already overflowing train case from now on.
Eminence Organics skin care can be found online at Skincare Rx or check them out directly at Eminenceorganics to see if there is a spa nearby that can introduce you to the products and the practices that work best for your skin type. Like I said...there are simply scads of yummy food sounding products to try that will address your specific skin troubles and leave you organically glowing! I'm looking forward to trying the Pear and Green Apple Sugar scrub as well as their "Beyond Organic Bio-Dynamic" line debuting in Spring 2009. This is where the advanced organic education kicked in but that's a subject for a later review and subsequent degree in Bio-dynamic farming!
If anyone else has heard of this line or tried a treatment at a spa let me know...I'm dying to talk Eminence Organics with other users! GLAM ON!!!!!

Oooh, this looks wonderful!I love your reviews Sweetassgal - I've really started to recognize the benefits of organic products and I'm working more natural products into my routine. I would love to try the Pear & Poppy Seed Microderm Polisher! A little out of my price range though! Great review though!
Hello Vicci13 here with a little information.I have not used these products yet but if customer service is any indication of how good the products is then the products will be the best ever! I emailed and asked some questions about the products and got a personal and immediate reply. Vicki Chan from Eminence said would suggest some products bc I have broken capillaries. She not only recommended products, she also sent some information on a couple of spas that carry the supplies and her information if anyone wants to ask her any questions. Here is the information, please use it and pass it on. I have to let everyone know that though these are somewhat pricey items, the portions are generous and they last a long time. My 1/2 ounce samples have lasted a month and a half so the cost overall long term is more affordable than one might think. Also...vicci13...I have broken capillaries on my face too. What did they recommend?

AARRGGHH! Bad head day. That was supposed to read "you sell this better than THEY do." I think I'd better leave the computer (my face is red).
Just a heads up...the moisturizer I used was the Rosehip Whip moisturizer...not the Sweet Rose Whip (though I'm sure its equally wonderful). So if you are ordering and looking for the exact one I used that smells SO delicious make sure to get the Rosehip Whip. Love to all!

The ingredients make perfect synergistic sense--salicylic acid sloughs off dead skin cells to smooth, and I forgot that I used lemon juice as a homemade toner in junior high! You sell this better than I do. Since I am a rose fiend (can't walk into an area of my home without seeing them), I do believe I deserve a Valentine's Day gift for myself. Thank you for helping me decide!
Well ladies...4 months later and this is still far and away my favorite moisturizer. Its SO light and yet SO moisturizing without being oily. LOVE IT.

i can almost smell this wonderful product from your description, lol. yes, i am obsessed with scents but i also care about what i put on my skin. i have tried organic care for my lips and hair and i was quite impressed with results. i think it is time for me to try organic care on my face as well!
Sounds like a great product! I must definitely try this as I am basically like an oil depot! I knew anything with rosehip in it wouldn't disappoint! I totally believe in that stuff!
With sensitive oily skin, I can't wait to try the Rosehip Whip. I especially like that the product absorbs immediately. There was a product reviewed, made by Oil of Olay, which takes over ten minutes to absorb - it sounded good except for the wait factor. The organics, and the description of the aroma makes it sound just right for me. Thank you for a great review.
I've tried samples of one of their face and eye creams and I must say that I really liked both. I also use their stone crop face wash. It really is a great line!
I recently got a facial from a spa that uses these products exclusively. It was amazing! My skin has never felt better, and I cannot wait to go back. I ended up buying the citrus exfoliating cleanser, the wild plum toner and the rich grape moisturizer. At first I thought it was overpriced, but I now realize how long the products last and how great they are! I've given away all my other skin care and will now only use eminence. I want to start using a serum, but haven't decided which to get. I would recommend these products to everyone!
I had to buy this product after reading your review. Earlier today I had an amazing facial and the people there introduced me the this product line and I bought the citrus exfoliating cleanser and the wild plum toner, and was looking for a great mosturizer. Thank you for the review!
Ohh, these products sound amazing. Organic and heavenly smelling it's everything I look for in a skin care product.

Love these products! Had a facial a few years ago at MiAmo Spa in Sedona but at the time the price kept me from purchasing. Had a birthday facial this past weekend and was reintroduced to Eminence...it's love again. Your review is great and further confirms that it's time to commit. Thanks!
I adore Eminence. They sell it at the spa where I work. The stuff is really expensive- but so, so luxurious. I love their Calendula treatment- it smells so wonderful, and the texture is fantastic. Also, if your husbands argue because of the price just tell them that you only need a pea sized amount per day ;)- a little goes a loonnnngg way. 5 stars for sure.
this looks amazing! i really want to try this!
this looks really nice!
Organic and rose ...sounds heavenly!!
Awesome!
this looks great! and lovely
I love that you find products that I have never heard of. Thank you
This sounds lovely.
I'm so glad I found this review. My skin is a mess and I need a facial, and there's a new day spa in the neighborhood that uses these products. So I think I will definitely be giving them a try. Thanks so much!
