TIGI HARD HEAD HARD HOLD HAIRSPRAY!!
The firm yet resilient Jaime from TIGI sent Megs Makeup out some massive cans of TIGI Hard Hold Hairspray! I love a stiff hairspray! I am a child/pre-teen of the eighties. Hairspray has probably found its way into my DNA by now.
I thought the "puff bang" was the epitome of attractiveness. Forget everything else, was your hair high enough to touch God? If yes, you were my idol. I would primp in the mirror getting ready for school with my curling iron and lifespray..I mean hairspray.
No regular formula would do. My roots needed to stand at full alert! The best hairspray my posse and I had decided was FREEZE IT!
FREEZE IT! Came in a huge, tall, neon yellow cylinder. It was like florist spray glue. A few shots of that and I was not moving for the entire day. If I didn't shower, the entire next day. When you would shower you could feel the gluey texture of FREEZE IT! Start to dissipate (but only after 2 shampoos).
Here's where my love affair with FREEZE IT ended. This is the part of the story where I wish I could get into a time traveling booth and apply TIGI HEAD HARD HOLD HAIRSPRAY.
I had a hot date with a Senior, being a Sophomore I needed to impress. I spent 2 hours trying to get my hair right. It wouldn't work for me. I had 10 minutes before my amore was arriving. I frantically brushed out all of my handi-work. I had super huge, bright, white chunks. Of course, I know and you know, it was the hairspray build-up flaking. It looked like I had just been infested with uber lice.
I am a brunette so the hairspray build-up had nowhere to hide. Ugh, high school.
I felt like I was going to relive that moment again. I had coiffed my do' and sprayed it with HARD HOLD HAIRSPRAY. Then I decided I hated my hairdo. I grabbed my trusty brush and started combing this super stiff hold out. This time? NO WHITE FLAKES!!! It was amazing. The consistency is still like spray glue but a spray glue with forgiveness!!
I was on limited time but was able to create an entire new look and without punishment. Not only that, once I sprayed my new look into place it stayed put all night with no "Crunch Factor"!
Here's what TIGI HARD HEAD HARD HOLD HAIRSPRAY has to say.."Why not be hard headed? Use Hard Head Spray for relentless hold and control. Dries instantly. Be bold. Defy gravity. The more you use, the harder it gets ".
Ladies please post if you felt free to be hard headed. and then start over with TIGI HARD HEAD HARD HOLD HAIRSPRAY! Please post now!

Ahh, hairspray. One of my first beauty loves. I was a victim of lots and lots of hairspray in my teens (it was the 80’s!) and my weapon of choice was good old Aquanet. How else could I hold my gravity defying Robert Smith hairdo in place? Well, times have changed and thankfully so has my hairstyle. I have drifted away from hairsprays and was thrilled to receive this big old can of TIGI Hard Head Hard Hold Hairspray. Nothing feels as great as welding that can and spraying all over once hair perfection has been obtained. This tall, sleek bottle literally stands out and doesn’t get lost amongst all of your toiletries. The scent is very old school but not overwhelming, (it felt like coming home!) Most importantly, this is a formula of the 2000’s and the Tigi hairspray really did its job, keeping my hair in place without any stickiness or white flakes. Plus there were no problems with the nozzle or a clogged pump even after extended use. And, it you are a victim of staticy hair, nothing works better or is easier than to spray a light coat over your brush and then run the brush through the ends of your hair. I say, ditch that old bottle of hairspray that’s been in your bathroom for decades and pick up some Tigi.
I as a rule am not fond of hairspray, but I bought this at a whim. I tried several times to see if it would do what all other hairspray have done to my brunette hair: leave a disgusting smell, leave my hair stiff and untouchable, and I was skeptical about this one. Now I will say that this is still not my holy grail, but it also did a better job of keeping my long and thick hair in place than anything else I have tried.
Quite contrary to some, let it be known that all aerosol hair spays are not the same! Especially,TIGI Hard Hold Hairspray! I only use this stuff when I know it’s necessary to hold my hair in place. Like in the recent Santa Ana winds! It helps make my hair look nice for an extended period of time.. it really works great on all my loose ends too! It’s not outrageously priced either. Give it a whirl!
See, I came of age in the era of those super tall cans of Sebastien. I've used a few dozen of those in my life. For me, hairspray has never left my routine.

I haven't used an aerosol hairspray since High School....and if I ever find one of my prom pics that Kate suggested to put up....you will see that my hair was as big as the sun!!! I used to use the extra hold Aqua Net...I would hold that nozzle down for 5 minutes straight...and that hair wouldn't budge...I could have used it for a weapon :-) I'm in need of excitement in my life....so, I'm going to get this hard head hairspray....after all, it was named after me!!!
I think hairspray is making a comeback...I'm for it.

I think some good, hard core hairspray is still in order in adult life. I like to do what my hairdresser does which is spray some on my fingers and run them down errant chunks or hair or just random pieces to make it look "piecy" and chunky. This is a nice, stiff hold so it's perfect for that.
So, what I wanna know is why you outgrow hairspray? When people talk about it it's always in relation to your high school hair, and it doesn't matter what era. My Mom's hair was twice as high as her head but very sleek and mine extended from every angle where it wasn't shaved or hanging in my eyes. Does success equal hair height when your young? I amy have to explore this. Anwway, this is a great formula. Smells good and has a very soft yet sturdy hold. I can tell this is good stuff. I just really don't use hairspray anymore, so I'm passing this on to PamelaAirene who's a proffesional girl and I think may use it way more than me. I'm more of a styling creme gal.
It's my opinion that all aerosol hair spray is pretty much the same. You spend this much on it, you are really buying the pretty silver canister...
Hard Head is my all time favorite hair spray. If I don't spray my hair and I curled it with a curling iron it doesn't do anything but fall flat and become a weird wave. I have tried so many other kinds. Kendra I can't stand it the smell and the way it weighs down my hair. Thank goodness I got it free from work because I would have returned it had I bought it. Big Sexy Hair is alright but I will not buy it again. I also tired Masterpiece by TIGI and I loved the smell but it made my hair more greasy than anything to much shine not enough hold.
I never use a hairspray! But I did go and see the musical xD
I love hairspray, I'm a big fan of Hold Me Tight by Paul Mitchell. **by the way Hairspray the movie WAS very fabulous!

Ugh, I totally hate those white flakes and crusty look! This hairspray would be amazingly useful if it worked and didn't have those nasty factors.
Let's all enjoy the Summer sunshine!
Nice review!
this looks really nice!
I only use hairspray if im doing some kind of crazy hair style. otherwise I prefer not to because it just makes my hair all stiff and flaky the next day
