SWEETSPOT LABS GENTLE WASH !!
The always sweet and sensitive Tami sent Meg's Makeup some of their Sweetspot Gentle Wash to test! We're a high-end cosmetics site, there is stuff out there to beautify every part. Welcome to Meg's version of the Vagina Monologues, (that one was easy but I still crack myself up). You see, you wouldn't wash your hair with toothpaste so why clean your sensitive sweetspot with harsh soaps when you can have a gentle formula crafted exactly for that sensitive area?
After I opened the Sweetspot package I saw all different scents for our reviewers. I wanted to learn more about the underground world of vajayjay wash (there, I am so 7 years old, I started to laugh again).
I went to the Sweetspot Labs website. I saw this offer that if you emailed 10 of your girlfriends about the product, Sweetspot would sent you a free gift. I love free gifts. I emailed 10 girlfriends the Sweetspot message. Basically, 10 of my girlfriends then had a message on how to better clean their chachi's in their inbox from me. Being me, I never thought they would find this strange. I was still thinking about the free gift I was going to get. Then it happened.
I got a reply email from a nameless tester that went like this "Hi Meg, Hey, thanks for telling me my hoo-hoo smelled. I ran out and bought that Sweetspot wash".
Oh My God!! It never occurred to me that I had just told 10 of my friends that their Sweetspot was sour! There's nothing in Emily Post's Book of Etiquette to fix this. Now I'm embarrassed that my friends think I'm some sort of Sweetspot hound dog sniffing them and judging their scent.
Since I always send kind of whacked out emails the majority of the receiver's just brushed it off and checked out the site. However, I am now The Vagina Nazi.
Sweetspot labs sent our washes in different scents-geranium lavender, basil grapefruit and citrus galbanum. Being Meg, I get first pick. What scent would I choose? What image is my lady nether regions looking for? Am I a flowery garden? Maybe a fresh grapefruit, a healthy burst of energy with a side of basil? Am I a healthy citrus melody?
Please monologue vagina! Please say something other then "Oh God, him again"? How will I know what you need from me when there is no conversation?
I went with the basil grapefruit, I figured grapefruit is low-fat.
Here is what Sweetspot Labs has to say..."For pH balanced TLC using especially blended, mild cleansers, soothing botanicals with essential oils all formulated for sweet spot use. A lovely last step in your bathing ritual".
Ladies please post if Sweetspot Labs Gentle wash has forever made you tend your lady garden!

I have no idea whether my hoo hoo is better. All I know is that it feels like it is. I am prone to bladder infections and any irritable gina stuff will cause me a huge problem. This wash didn't cause ANY irritation and I like that I have a special "down there" soap. I am signing up for their monthy vajayjay club. I want this product to be delivered to me at all times, I just wish it came in Fried Chicken. My husband loves fried chicken.
I have been using the Sweet Spot Labs Geranium Lavender wash. While regular soap has been working fine for my choo-choo, I was interested to see if this made a difference down there... The scent of the wash is nice as it's not too strong or too flowery. To be honest, I didn't notice that this was any better for me than soap. I also am low mainteance in the shower - I can't have a bottle in the shower for every little part of my body. So, I used this everywhere as a body wash. I like it, but the only thing that worried me about using it "down there" is the bottle says "for external use only...". Nice.
I received the basil grapefruit. The scent is great. Very light. Now, I've never really had a problem down there but for the sake of testing, i've been using this on a regular basis. I really couldn't tell the difference between usingSweetspot and soap. I'm married too, and never heard a comment about it. I guess if you normally use a special washthen Sweetspot is a good product, but for me I didn't notice a difference.
okay, I'm the one. I'm the annoymous tester that assumed Meg was telling me my hoo-hoo stank. Well, I didn't really think that but I was intrigued enough to run out and try it. I am one of those girls on whom advertisers prey. I have deep rooted fears that my breath stinks, my cooch smells...whatever. Even though I know that's not the case -- that in the case of my cooch, I would have to have a medical condition and one of my many doctors would have mentioned it but, well...it's irrational. Anyway, I ran out to get the wash (mostly because the scents sounded so delicious) but I accidentally got the spray (in Geranium Lavender -- I was tempted to get basil grapefruit but I decided my V shouldn't smell like a salad.) I like it. I use it for period days when I feel icky down there -- helps perk me up. I also picked up the wipes. Same concept. Refreshing and clean. Wish I'd gotten the wash.
Hate to be rude but . . . glycerin is an oil that keeps things from drying out, it is not a sugar. Glucose is a sugar.
I agree with desertdoll. I am married as well, and kept asking my husband if he "noticed a difference". He didn't. I got the citrus galbanum, and it smells really nice and fresh in the bottle and in the shower, but I really didn't notice any difference. I even felt a little dry - but I am sure that is psychosomatic, as I am a HUGE hypochondriac, and am also susceptible to UTIs and irritations... Like trix6, though, I did really appreciate having this during my period days... So, who knows, maybe I will buy it for just that occasion!
Yet another mixed review for this product. I like the idea that this wash is PH balanced for your special area - I have had problems with soaps stinging or burning down there. No such problems with Sweetspot. But, as a single gal I am not sure that I would reach for this bottle very often. I received the Citrus Galbanum scent (I had no idea what Galbanum meant so I looked it up “a gum resin with a peculiar, strong odor, obtained from certain Asian plants” Huh - well happily the scent was not peculiar or strong and the most distinct scent I could pick out was grapefruit. The bottle notes that this wash can be used for all over the body so that’s how I’ve been using it. I enjoy the scent and the wash doesn’t dry out my skin during these winter months. The bottle is a little small for that purpose so I am almost through it already. I do not think I will run out and replace this. However, like some other testers I am really intrigued with the wipes. I think I am going to try those next, because as others have mentioned I can see when these would be really useful (after work-outs, after traveling, during your period, etc).
I've never tried any of the SweetSpot products, but I have been really curious about them since I saw them in a little boutique the other day. They had all of the products lined up on a table... marked "TESTER".
This was, without a doubt, the most disturbing bunch of reviews I ever read! I just read the stories of 7 women's cacoogie washing rituals!! Also, I pray to the higher power above that my cooch never smells like fried chiken or BBQ sauce. Who cares what my husband thinks of the way my vajayjay smells. I just want a wash that dosen't give me a yeast infection (now here I go adding the the horrorfic truth bearings of this posting). I have been using summer's eve since high school. I like the way it smells and it makes me feel clean. If we have a special wash for our faces, it seems MORE then logical that we would have an even more special wash for out puddin, right? Well, to me it does. But let's face it, "Summer's Eve" has some bad stigmas attached to it's name. It's in the same boat as "Tampax" or "Vagisil". Basically, JUST NOT SEXY! And the bottle is big! You can't bring that on a sexy, B&B getaway weekend. Candles, champagne, bubble bath and Summer's Eve??? NO!! Mood killer!! HOWEVER, The bottle of Sweetspot is small! Sleek! Streamlines! It looks like a shower gel or bath oil! No one would ever know it's for your fah-gina! It smells great, travels well, and is not irritating. I want the wipes for the plane too, Blus Lee Lee!!
Don't mean to get technical, however being an engineer, you should know Wickipedia describes Glycerin as follows:Glycerol, also well known as glycerin and glycerine, and less commonly as propane-1,2,3-triol, 1,2,3-propanetriol, 1,2,3-trihydroxypropane, glyceritol, and glycyl alcohol is a colorless, odorless, hygroscopic, and sweet-tasting viscous liquid. Glycerol is a sugar alcohol and has three hydrophilic alcoholic hydroxyl groups (OH-) that are responsible for its solubility in water. Glycerol has a wide range of applications. Glycerol has a prochiral spatial arrangement of atoms.
Ok. I tried it. I got Geranium lavender. Which was just a clean, fresh smell. I don't think I could handle a fruit smelling cooch. Yeah, no. But so far I'm impressed. No itching! I am not an everyday showerer (scoff if you want, but I have thick hair that is a pain to deal with. I don't smell bad). And my AREA definitely feels and stays cleaner longer with this lovely little gem! I am converted!

So let's get right down to it, I'm married. This stuff would have to be BBQ scented to get me any extra attention! So I reviewed this for my own purposes. I'm torn about my reccomendation. I'm all about speciality items, but would I REALLY buy wash just for my coochi? When I was single I did buy Summers Eve products before a hot date and I knew I was going to be getting some. I got Basil Grapefruit to test and it smelled great. But honestly, it's not like I smelled like a fresh fruit plate or something afterwards. I just smelled clean, and doesn't your hoo-ha always smell clean after a shower? So, I'm going to give this a hesitant "yes" but only for single girls or special occasions where you want to stress about your vajayjay.
I wasn't even going to join this chat room until I saw these reviews. I have one message on this product: PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT! The 3rd ingredient is GLYCERIN! Anyone know what glycerin is? That's right it's a SUGAR and SUGARS feed little YEAST MICROBES! Ever made bread?Seriously, if you don't get yeast infections, consider yourself lucky and steer clear of products with Glycerin. If you ever had had the awfulness, do yourself a big favor and skip any cleansers/lubes with the stuff in it. Good alternatives include Sliquid wash which you can get on drugstore.com.
I, too was a skeptic. Although I'm a self professed beauty junkie, did I really need another bottle for my sweet spot? Agree with the other posters that the scent was nice, and there was no irritation. But, I'm not going to keep a separate bottle just for the netherlands. I might be inclined to try the wipes after a flight, but I'm a carryon gal, so no more liquids for me!
This is one of those products that once you start using you wonder how you ever existed without it. The smell is just .... well, sweet. It definiteky makes you feel fresh and new. If you work out all the time like I do then you will definitely enjoy using this product. Let's face it - sometimes you want to feel fresh and new. This is a great stocking stuffer for your girlfriends.
So my curiousity broke me down and I ordered the wipes in Citrus Galbanthum, plus a travel pack in Basil Grapefruit. I mean, who can't use a pick-me-up before you hit the sheets for a little somethin'-somethin'. I am so in love with them. This is going to be one of those must-have products for me. The B doesn't notice anything different (I've asked) but I just feel better freshening up before he's going down...the primrose path, if y'all know what I mean. And this is pretty funny -- I ordered them from drugstore.com and they sent me a tester of lube with my order. You can't have one without the other, I guess :) I'm with B'zilla and wouldn't want my nethers smelling like fried chicken (or any other part of my body), but it does bring back a memory of Meg wanting to make panties that said "Tastes Like Chicken" with an arrow pointing downward. Now we know why!!!
This morning while in the shower using my Sweet Spot in the Geranium Lavender scent I was wondering what Meg was going to say on the site to describe her thoughts about this product. You gotta love Meg, I about feel out of my chair reading what she wrote. One of the things I like about this product is it's PH balanced for that special area along with all of the natural ingredients in it. The smell is really fresh smelling while in the shower, however not being very limber it’s a little hard to tell if it still smell once out of the shower. I don’t have the benefit of a husband to assist in that exercise. I think psychologically just know that my sweet spot has been cleansed with this wash makes me feel cleaner through out the day. I wish I knew about the wipes they would have been perfect for the plane. For those of you that travel I would think they would be very handy to have after a long flight...............
It's really that good. I do not even use soap as it is too stripping, so you better believe I was skeptical about a scented wash. I have gone from a no problems situation to wow! I feel even better scenario (I just had to work in a vagina scenario!). UTIs and YIs sufferers, I cannot make promises about your no-no, but I love and regualrly use the wash, spray and wipes for a month now with no problems what-so-ever. And I use them for me, regardless of action potential - I mean shouldn't you always be ready?
I just read this product review and while I haven't tried this one, it reminds me of a story from my college years. One of my sorority sisters was IN LOVE with a guy she knew from back home in Chicago. She was so excited that he was coming to visit her at UMD, she went crazy preparing. She bught new clothes, lingerie, etc. I helped her do her makeup (of course!) and she even went as far as to get some "feminine wipes" so she would be "so fresh and so clean" - yes we did make fun of her by singing to OutKast song! I think she got a flavor called Lemon Sorbet or something like that. So anyways she gets him at the airport and they go directly back to her apartment. The next day she burst into my room with a look of horror on her face. She said "Everything was going great, until we starting messing around. So guess what he is calling me now??? SOURPUSS!!!"
I mean I don't know. My mom always told me that using products designed for the nether regions of your body weren't good for you. Through off your natural yeast levels. I'm really skeptical...I mean I accidentally bought scented panty-liners one time and I had the devil of YI-turned-UTI. I thought I was going to die of flaming crotch (no, it was not the clap). Is it really that good?
Katie
fried chicken????!!! bahahahahahah! That is TOO funny.
Meg, you are SO FUNNY!! LOLOLOLOL

This review is so funny, thank you! Will definitely try this.

Megan

I've always been intrigued by feminine washes...is it really necessary? does it really help? Will definately have to give it a go.
these seem so nice

I don't want to get into how I clean the little lady out or anything but I think after a couple of minutes your bits are just going to smell like plain old bits again. Just make sure to rinse her out with a little water every now and then and you should be OK. XD
This looks good!
I didnt knw they made products for stuff like that lol
this would be good for period time or just after period time when you want/need to be fresh and clean..
I like that there are stuffs like these.
I tend to use a baby wash there because it is gentle. Alot of the body washes are harsh
OMG, LMFAO!! I can't say anything else right now after reading that......
OMG, after reading all these posts I am dying of laughter! Thanks, ladies!!
Lol sounds weird to have myself smelling of grapefruit you know where
